Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and Sgt. Rock

This has been a team up that has been tickling my brain for years, and I finally got around to creating it. Rock may have to count them out if he says he wants a revolution - but perhaps they can remind him that all he needs is love.

  2. Of course aboard that yellow submarine! How else would you get to an octopus'es garden?

  3. Your covers are always worth a look. But sometimes they are so inspired they really reverberate in the imagination (at least in mine). Today's does that to the nth degree! What an utterly brilliant concept!
Lovely execution too. The 'prayed for a little help from my friends' is the perfect link for these two far distant corners of the STFverse.
I'll also join the Yellow Submarine supporters - that would be a great way to bring the twin kings of Atlantis, Subby and Aquaman, together again.

  4. Well, it worked, Ross. I LOVE IT!!!!! :-D

As for a sequel called "Yellow Submariner"? I vote in favor of that, as well. Guest-starring Sinestro and Dr. Doom, perhaps. I mean, Namor's occasional swings, to a more violent mood, might make him seem worthier for recruitment as a Red Lantern. But, those same emo flare-ups can also make most civilian surface-dwellers fear him.

    Quite understandably, too.

You could also tie it into STF #4344 as the third chapter in a trilogy: "Doom's Patrol"!

  5. Throw in STF #802, as a prologue, and Ross could make it a tetralogy!

  6. @ my fellow Anon: also tying it into STF #4171 could make it a quint-alogy (to coin a phrase).

  7. Plus, I agree with Cary. Subby would look great as a Yellow Lantern. Provided he wore that black-and-gold outfit with the glider wings under the arm pits!

  8. WWll is very populated on STF-Earth. Even has guests and Rock music, but NO Fury here.
The Invaders may be just around the corner, but Major Disaster is making sure everyone is working overtime. Even a few JSA to add a bit of spice.
Ah, well...just a day in the life.

  9. @Det. Tobor: No room for Fury in a world where love is needed. Which raises the question: would Star Sapphire's love-powered Purple Lantern Corps try to recruit the Beatles?

  10. Okay, now, who would team up the Blue Meanies? Megamind? Dr. Manhattan? Surely not Darksied. Maybe Kang sees some advantage in interfering with this particular battle.

  11. @Ken Roskos: how about Blu Mankuma? Or even Blue Man Group!

  12. Brilliant idea; Ross! And here's an idea: J. Jonah Jameson, Jonah Hex, and Ultra Boy (Jo Nah)!

  13. A whale of an idea, Jared.
