I had fun pairing the Cassidy Cousins together back in STF #3875. When Brian C., a Patron of this Blog, suggested I added another member of the family, Namely Ted Cassidy of Addams' Family fame, the idea was to fun to to try. Thanks for your suggestion and patronage, Brian!
Another inspired team-up.
ReplyDeleteWhat about adding another Cassidy next time? As a kid, I vaguely remember the Fawcett comics featuring (from the TV) Hopalong Cassidy...
A Hollywood four leaf clover since Ted was also famous for his work in Star Trek,TOS in yr one..as an android. He was like an early David Prowse. Voice work too.
ReplyDeletefun cover. how about Lurch meets Gazoo?
What about Cassidy from Preacher on a next issue?
ReplyDeleteI'll always remember him best as Habib, Jeannie Brunette's master, from Part 3 of "Genie, Genie, Who's Got The Genie?" on IDOJ (Season 3).
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I did today's cover. Thanks for posting it, Ross!
P.S.---how about this for St. Patrick's Day? Shamrock and the Phantom Stranger vs. the Silver Banshee!
Speaking of relatives; Ross, have you ever established Bobby Drake and Tim Drake as being related?
ReplyDeleteNice work on today's cover, too, but I just had to ask...
They are cousins as well - see STF #1316 https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2015/11/iceman-and-robin-in-cold-case.html
ReplyDelete@Ross: Oops! Sorry; that should've read "...I dig today's cover."
ReplyDeleteI wasn't trying to claim-jump authorship. Believe me!
P.S. @ Tobor: I'd prefer that Gazoo met the Schmoo.
ReplyDelete@Cary: What if we added Groo to that mix?
ReplyDeleteOn a totally unrelated note, I've searched through all your previous issue covers and never once has the Mangog been featured. Still holding out hope for a cover featuring The Unstoppables (Mangog, Doomsday, and the ID monster from Forbidden Planet) vs The Impossibles (Coil-Man , Fluid-Man, and Multi-Man).
ReplyDelete@Carycomic, imagine little green man, Gazoo, popping in at head level next to Lurch.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Kermit, the Frog as well? Lime aid? It's not easy being green.
@Bob Greenwade: sounds 23 Skidoo! :-)
ReplyDelete@Det. Tobor: Ross already has that covered...with The Emerald Elite.
Then, again, they haven't been seen since 12/1/2013! So, they're way overdue for a second appearance here.*
ReplyDelete*Much like Shamrock, herself! Perhaps Ross could kill two birds with one color-tone? ;-D
@Carycomic: *GROAN!*
ReplyDeletejust love it - i miss the comedy of the Blue Devil comic, not too sure if Banshee is alive in the comics today but someone is bound to know…
ReplyDeleteAccording to Marvel Database, he's been killed off and revivified more times than Oliver Queen has had girlfriends! I'm paraphrasing, of course. With his latest death made comparatively peaceful through some kind of mind-wipe of all his previous traumatic reanimations.
ReplyDeleteHow about Banshee meets the lead singer of the Partridge Family?
ReplyDelete;-)
