Sometimes you don't need big battle sequences if the science is cool enough in a story. It's interesting to see superheroes putting their heads together to solve a problem rather than stop a crime. I can see these two being intrigued in whatever Starro needs their assistance with.
I love these story reversals. Is the villain setting the heroes up for betrayal after getting help from them or is it a true call for help? What kind of problem could it be that Starro couldn't take care of on its own? Buy the book? Oh yeah!!
ReplyDeleteIf he needs their help against Shuma-Gorath, the proverbial two heads won't be enough. As Amity Police Chief Brody might put it...
ReplyDelete"We're gonna need a bigger brain."
Starro VS Shuma-Gorath...
ReplyDeleteI need to check if it's been done, off to archive diving I go!
It surprisingly has not been.
DeleteMaybe in a few years or so.
I just figure Starro's asking for help against Galactus.
ReplyDelete@Anon@8:12: Call the Supreme Intelligence!
@Ross: Initially I said "Great Intelligence," but that's a Doctor Who villain. That said, I think it'd be interesting to see a story with the Great Intelligence vs. the Supreme Intelligence.
@Bob Greenwade: if Ross doesn't have enough suitable image captures of the former, I'd be willing to settle for the Supreme Intelligence vs. Darkseid or Brainiac.
ReplyDelete@cary: Definitely Brainiac. The Supreme Intelligence vs. Artificial Intelligence.
ReplyDeleteAnother great team up. Nice job. How about Dawnstar and Mirage (of the New Mutants)? Thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteHm, unless Starro can bud off a little tiny Starro the Atom would be immune to his power...And even if he can the Atom can keep changing size. Hmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteGood Lord! I just had a horrible thought. What if that Howard the Duck foe, Dr. Bong, someday created a Bizarro Starro? Is the Rossverse ready for "The Monstrosity Called...BISTARRO!"
ReplyDelete@Carycomic: why not? He could treat the Atom and BG to lunch at a bistro!
