Sandman Mystery Science Theatre 3000
When Shagg Matthews, Master Podcaster and Patron of this blog, suggested this combination, I thought that is was too crazy not to try. I wasn't sure if I could pull it off until I saw this great cosplay by Adam Bakes. Thanks for the idea, Shagg!
Ooh, this one is next-level! Now I want to see a group of cosplayers protecting the aliens that mistook them for actual MCU heroes when they needed rescuing. You know, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY QUEST.
What Ivan and Shaggy said. The only way this might have (arguably) been surpassed is if Mr. Bakes had cosplayed King Arthur for "Camelot 3K Meets MST 3K"!
I should really just Relax. But this is outstanding Ross! Sandman vs. Manos, or The Prince of Space; there's too many to mention here. This cover takes the sting out of my Monday morning. The GotG/Galaxy Quest mashup sounds great too. On a side note, check out Here Come The Big People comic, written by Trace Beaulieu.

ReplyDeleteIn any case, bravo!
Can you imagine the snark Mike, Bill and Kevin could inflict on this?
ReplyDelete"Are you my Mummy?"
Excellent! Got a good solid laugh out of me.
ReplyDeleteIngenious! I can just imagine Crow verbally pecking this to pieces. :-)

ReplyDeleteand eventually you can have hero and villain on a panel at a con.
ReplyDelete"Too crazy not to try" indeed! Maybe some time MST3K can take on Camelot 3000?
ReplyDeleteThe title is particularly brilliantly done.
Let the Monty Python references commence!
DeleteI third Bob and Anon828's motion. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed your blog for years. I like that you do unexpected things sometimes and this was unexpected. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Matthew!
