I can see Eclipso taking an interest in these two young crimefighters, as they represent darkness and light that work together. He would probably get a twisted thrill out of attempting to corrupt one or the other, to break up their effective alliance. Let's hope their personal bonds are enough to overcome his machinations.
Cloak and Dagger first encountered Eclipso in STF #3498...
Excellent rendering! Nuff said. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhy do you always have the villain co-star as VS instead of AND? Part of the fun of those old team up books was when they had a villain costar that the hero was forced to work with on an adventure.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say always, but it's usually the case due to the situations the images present. Plus I just like seeing the bad guys being bad.
ReplyDeleteEspecially given that Eclipso was, at least in his initial incarnation, a distillation of the evil in one man. Other villains could BE evil, Eclipso WAS evil.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting "AND" would be a hero and villain teaming up (say, Captain America and Lex Luthor) to save the world, but extralegal measures are required.
ReplyDelete@Bob
ReplyDeleteCap and Lex? Yes, please!
@Ross
ReplyDeleteHey Ross i have an idea, the Tamers from Monster Allergy vs Fing Fang Foom.
is this a sequel to 3498# ?? Worth thr wait!
ReplyDeleteBetter yet, if the Lex in question is President Luthor! That seems like it could work perfectly in a Captain America story!
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed, Tobor!
ReplyDelete@Ben: That's a moment sure to trigger Cap hanging up the mantle.
ReplyDelete@Det. Tobor: in the immortal words of Bugs Bunny? "Hmmmm! Could be."
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Funny Talking Animals; how about GL Ch'p and Squirrel Girl?
ReplyDeleteOr, failing that, how about Mickey Mouse and the TMNT's?*
ReplyDelete*In "Krang Dome Hearts!"
I'd much rather see a Venomized Deadpool take on the Hunter Rose version of Grendel.
