Another day, another riff on one of my favorite comic issues. "Terror in a Tiny Town" was a real highlight during John Byrne's stint on the FF. Doctor Doom had a lot of twisted plans against Reed Richards and company, and this one was truly epic.
The Fantastic Four and The Atom first crossed paths in STF #1499... and The Atom first clashed with Doctor Doom way back in STF #80.
Hey Ross, have you ever had the Atom visit the Micronauts in the Microverse? One of my favorite comics in the 70's (toys were pretty cool too).
ReplyDeleteTwice!
ReplyDeleteRoss how much of a difference is there between the FF and the Atom vs the FF and Ant-Man? I know the ants, but as both are scientists with size reductions, is there something one could do that the other couldn't?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of microverses, how about Jarella of Kai vs. Queen Atomia for the affections of the green child-like Hulk?---Carycomic
ReplyDeleteOr even Butch Patrick-as-Mark winding up in Liddleville instead of Lidsville (because of a right turn in a certain New Mexican town)!
ReplyDelete@Tobor: I'm more of an Atom fan than Ant-Man. I was surprised by the movie when Ant-Man shrank to subatomic size like the Atom. I thought ant-size was his limit.
ReplyDeleteThe big differences AFAIK are that Ant-Man can grow as well as shrink, and Atom can adjust his weight between 0 and 180 lbs. at any height.
@Cary: Or perhaps Eddie Munster in Lidsville?
ReplyDeleteWhy not?---Cary
