Catwoman has been known to break into some pretty high security places in her career - but one under the protection of a Thunder God may give even her a challenge. Then again, knowledge is power, so if she does indeed find the secrets she is looking for, that may give her just the advantage she needs.
LOL, she'll figure a way to "lift" his hammer.
ReplyDeleteUm...I'll let myself out...
LOL
Delete@Reg and Anon741: Here are three less risque possibilities.
ReplyDelete1) That the panther god worshiped by the Wakandans is a male avatar of the Egyptian cat-goddess Bast. Even though Catwoman might already know that.*
2) That what's she out to steal is actually a replica of what she had already secretly stolen for Mockingbird (but which she is now returning).**
3) That, contrary to certain cinematic portrayals, Frigga of Asgard was not his real "mummy." ***

**See STF #3652 (Apr. 2022)
***See a doctor about that sickly groaning I just heard.
IS Rama Tut involved?
ReplyDelete@Emsley: One has a quantum of hope. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think Catwoman is so obsessed with this Egyptian tomb that she'll end up as a Bastet case. Drive safely folks!
ReplyDeleteWasn't Bastet also the collective name that White Wolf Games gave to their were-cat tribes?*
ReplyDelete*As opposed to individual tribal names like "Simba" for were-lions, "Bagheera" for were-leopards, and so on.
Hey Ross. Question for you, did you cut Thor into the sarcophagus, or did you find him already in one already? Also if he was in one already, what issue did find it in?
ReplyDeleteOrdinaryguy2
@Cary: Regarding your scenario #3, I think the 9th Doctor would be an interesting addition to the story.
ReplyDeleteWhy not the 4th Doctor? Given the ancient Egyptian motif, I'd love to see him help Thor take on Sutekh from the "Pyramids of Mars" story arc.
ReplyDeleteOrdinary Guy - He was in there, don't remember the issue
ReplyDelete@Carycomic, i'm shocked at you! A cover like this and not one word?! Really??
ReplyDeleteCatwoman is coming into a buried treasure room on her fee-line!!
(and not a cookie in sight.)
I considered using that pun. But, reconsidered it as too "purr-fectly" dreadful.
ReplyDelete;-)
@Carycomic: dude, stop. Please!!!
ReplyDelete@Cary: I was thinking of the 9th Doctor episodes "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances."
ReplyDelete@Bob Greenwade: Ahhhh! I guess you "masked" the allusion, too well. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, I didn't mean anything risque in my comment.
ReplyDeleteI was making a pun on the trope of lifting Mjolnir, juxtaposing the slang "to lift" meaning to steal, since Catwoman likes to steal valuable items. Mjolnir would definitely catch her eye in that context. :-)
It's a good thing that Superman wasn't in there after sundown: Then he would have been in the crypt tonight.
ReplyDelete@Ken: #BadPunNoCookie
ReplyDeleteThor comes out of hiding and Catwoman so innocently asks him , " Are You my mummy??"
ReplyDeleteThor answers with: "Nay, never would I be so wrapped up in myself". @ Bob - Sorry, I've been watching too much Svengoolie. Actually, I got that joke from Johnny Carson.
ReplyDelete@Ken: It's OK. I just watched Disney's Jungle Cruise the other night.
