Harley Quinn Meets Throg and Cosmo

The new season of the animated Harley Quinn has ended, with another season in the works.  While I enjoy the show, I do have to take exception with the depiction of most of the heroes on the show, especially Commissioner Gordon and Batman, everyone is played off as some kind of a fool. I try to see the series as Harley's interpretation of events, though, and the version we viewers see is one that has been filtered through her crazy psyche.

It's my favorite version of Jim Gordon , I loved the take on Swamp Thing, Nightwing & Nora Freeze. It's great that the show is a bit subversive and really fun, & I can't wait to see takes on other heroes & villains next year.

  2. Wait a minute. There's a frog Thor, in addition to the horse Thor?

    1. Google "Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers."

  3. @Emsley: yeah. He caught a cold battling some Frost Giants and
became a little "horse" in the throat. Which, in turn, left his voice sounding a little "froggy."

  6. Maybe Lockjaw and the other Pet Avengers went missing while looking for Tintin, Snoopy, et al. who disappeared looking for Ace's Dogs of War (see STF #3822). And it turns out the Living Planet has abducted them all! Intending to use them as the nucleus of an invincible army for conquering the universe.

Hence, Throg Odinson recruiting the help of Harley Quinn. After all; she's used to dealing with...Ego-maniacs.

  7. This seems like the perfect point at which to slightly digress.

Dear Ross: didn't there used to be a Yiddish-speaking, bulldog-like character, back in the Eighties, who acted as advisor to the Strausses (Eric and Linda) back when they were a kind of a t-g Dr. Fate?

  10. @Ross: sorry! I just couldn't resist. Btw: how about an eventual team-up between Red Sona and Princess Amethyst of Gemworld? They've each teamed up with mutual acquaintances (Beta Ray Bill, Martinex of GOTG, King Arthur of Camelot 3K).

But, never each other, one-on-one, directly!

  11. @Cary & Emsley; actually, Beta Ray Bill always struck as being more of an alien Wolverine...prior to being Asgardianized by Odin.
