The Impossible Man and The Joker

It seems like the rumors are true and Lady Gaga will indeed be playing Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie a Deux.  The only hints about the plot is that there will be a musical element and Zazie Beetz is in talks to return as well.  Will we see Dr. Quinzel analyzing The Joker while descending into madness herself?  I don't think Joaquin Phoenix has ever done a sequel before, but I guess the first film making over a billion

dollars can change a lot of minds.  Let's hope the script is a strong as the first time around.

  1. You did your background research well, Ross. :-)

This pays homage to both the Batman story where the Joker learned Mr. Mxyzptlk's true name (thereby stealing his power); and the Superman story where it was strongly hinted that Mxy and Impy are one-and-the same.

I leave it to Bob Greenwade's phenomenal powers of research to come up with the actual issue numbers.

  2. A Joker musical, eh? I'd give even odds that it's less fun than, but at least as problematic as, It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman!

@Cary: I would do that research, but there are experts on this blog who could easily beat me to it.

  3. Superman #50 had Mxyzptlk taking on the Fantastic Four in his guise as the Impossible Man.
And I'm not going to list all the issues but Superman: Emperor Joker #1 had Joker with Mxy's power

  6. P.S.---that's strange. I was looking for the more traditional "Anonymous." How did I get the synonym high-lighted in blue?

  7. I would like to see this as a comic, maybe a limited series.
    Great cover and idea.

  9. Random suggestion time, again.

How about Moon Knight vs. a long-lost relative from the Gold Key universe? Dr. Adam Spektor...in werewolf mode!
