Presenting Part One of a Two-Part tale! I look forward to seeing Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate in the upcoming Black Adam movie - despite thee odd design choice not to have eyeholes on his helmet. I really hope my prediction is incorrect and that the character is not killed off by the end of the movie. I have a sneaking suspicion that one way or another there will be a passing of the mantle.
So just who is the foe these two are heading to face, anyway? Come back tomorrow for the thrilling conclusion!
Did Reed Richards contact Dr Fate to learn more about his Uncle Dan Richards aka Manhunter, Fate's All Star Squadron teammate? Or did Dr Fate aka Kent Nelson go into the Marvel Universe to check in on his nephew Foggy Nelson?
ReplyDeleteBased on the title, and particularly if Jack Kirby was one of the artists in your search links at the bottom, I'd say one of those pre-Thor Stone Men from the planet Krona. But, I'll guess...Dr. Doom, instead.
ReplyDeleteThere will indeed be Kirby!
ReplyDeleteWhat would a cross company team of only Jack Kirby creations look like? Just to keep it interesting it should have no more than 2 characters from any company and all the major publishers he worked for should be represented. Then you need an interesting mix of powers and abilities.
DeleteFighting American, The Fly, Big Barda, Etrigan The Demon, Crystal, Black Panther, and Silver Star
DeleteThank you! :-)
ReplyDeleteI clearly didn't get enough sleep last night; I just had a mental image of Buffy the Vampire Slayer going after Count Von Count.
ReplyDeleteAnd say, I'm seeing Brendan Fraser at Emerald City Comic Con in a couple of weeks; how about a team-up between Robotman and George of the Jungle? (That would be an interesting combination even without the actor connection.)
Less bizarrely, I'd kind of like to see the Warriors Three versus the Demons Three.
I second the motion. Is there a Mover Three?
ReplyDeleteI can't get this idea out of my mind for the potential mayhem. Gru from Despicable Me and his Minions vs. Groo the Wanderer.
ReplyDeleteAdd Beautiful Dreamer to that Kirby Mix, and maybe make it all Kirby Women?!
ReplyDelete@Bob Love it! When is the last time Ross used Sesame Street characters, anyway? There's a ton of crossover ideas there!
ReplyDeleteLike, say, Luke Skywalker in danger of being assassinated by a Koozbainian shapeshifter disguised as a trench-coated Rybit reported named Kermit?
ReplyDeleteI'd be more prone to accept Kermit coming to Grogu's side as a fellow student under Luke. (Or, better, receiving training under Ahsoka Tano.)
ReplyDeleteKermit Skyhopper? I admit that has a nice ring to it (sort of).
