This is a pairing that I have been meaning to get to for years, and what better day to do so than today? I hope all of my USA visitors have a great holiday today, enjoying time with family and friends! For those outside the USA, I hope you have an awesome day too!
You could have had Red Skull working with Red Panzer. Or maybe you can have a cover with Black Panther vs Red Panzer and Bronze Tiger vs Tiger Shark.
ReplyDeleteYou could also have Tim Drake and Bobby Drake work together but I don't know what the connection would be other than their last names.
Tim and Bobby, the Drake cousins, have met on the blog before.
ReplyDeleteI don't see a tag for any such team ups with the Drake cousins. What are the issue numbers?
Deletecover #1316 was Iceman and Robin.....
DeleteGreat cover, Ross! I was kind of expecting America Chavez to be one of the Miss Americas here, but this Golden Age retro tale is fine.
ReplyDeleteWhat Bob Greenwade said!
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy 4th, as well, Ross. :-)
P.S. @ Extra Syrup---this line-up is perfect just the way it is. Solomon Grundy, the mentally malleable muscle; and the Red Skull. Fiendishly charismatic mastermind!
ReplyDeleteI could be wrong, but I think America Chavez would be offended by being labeled as a "Miss".
ReplyDeleteTheir logos are nearly identical LOL!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Happy 4th everyone.
ReplyDeleteOh, to have had Maid in America as well. Go Fourth!!
ReplyDelete@Tobor: You mean, American Maid?
ReplyDeleteA truly inspired combo, Ross. It makes me wonder how DC and Marvel (if they still had the Amalgam imprint) would rewrite her consolidated civilian name. Madeline Dale or Joan Joyce?
ReplyDeleteIn any case, have a Happy Fourth of July! :-)
P.S. @ Carycomic: The Red Skull wouldn't have to waste his verbal powers of persuasion on that zombified dim bulb. All he'd require is the brainwashing power of his nullatron!
