I'd love to know what happened behind the scenes on The Book of Boba Fett. While I really enjoyed the episodes they appeared in, having The Mandalorian and Grogu show up halfway through the series and reduce Fett practically to a minor supporting character was a very odd choice. I can't believe that was the original plan. Will we see Boba Fett back on Disney+? I'm betting yes, but only as a guest star.
This cover seems fitting, as not just a few weeks ago the YouTube series "Death Battle" pit Fett against the Predator, so it feels right to pit him against the other side.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you ever have watched that Ross, but it was incredibly neat to see this cover.
Rumor has it, next season has Boba Fett vs The Golden Girls. A new era in crossovers.
ReplyDeleteI’d buy that for a dollar!
DeleteI'd rather see the Alien Legion vs. the GL Corps. Or, even better, reinforcing Boba Fett against the Xenomorphs! It would be fun to see who had the bigger alpha personality; Fett or Sarigar?
ReplyDeleteWhile those episodes were, taken on their own, some of the best television in the Star Wars franchise, they did disrupt the overall narrative of TBOBF. The storytelling might have been intended as happened, but it could've been structured better.
ReplyDeleteThey said BOBF was going to be like 'Mandolarian Chapter 2.5', and that's how I watched it, so while it was a bit jarring, it made sense. They managed to get Grogu, Luke, and Ahsoka back on screen this year, and they can start Mando Chap. 3 fresh with Mando and Grogu back together in their new ship.
ReplyDeleteGreat crossover. Seeing the weapon Boba Fett was holding and the angle he was standing in made me think of Fett as a Ghostbuster. Are there bounties on ghosts?
ReplyDeletefrom Ordinaryguy2
When Dark Horse was doing both franchises this could have happened. They did it with Predator and with other companies like the Xenomorphs hitting the DC universe.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Star Wars...
ReplyDeleteDear Ross: have you ever done a crossover between SW and "Highlander The Series"?
No
ReplyDelete@Ordinaryguy2: I sure hope there are bounties on UFO's that eat horses and bore movie-goers to death. If the answer is "Nope," then the MPAA should immediately offer one!
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion from Ordinaryguy2 - A Boba Fett/Ghostbusters team-up would be a knock out! Or... Boba Fett could be hunting them, for trapping a very important Force Ghost. ;)
ReplyDeleteMr. Roskos? You're a genius! I even have the perfect title for such a crossover: "Jinn In A Bottle."
ReplyDeleteWell, technically, it would be a Ghostbuster trap-with-foot-pedal, probably made of transparisteel. But, that doesn't have quite the same literary ring. Does it?
ReplyDeleteGhostbusters and the Funky Phantom... now, there's a combo with a lot of story potential!
ReplyDeleteIndisputably!
