Tigra and Cat-Man (Part 5 of 7)

As we hit Part 5 in our week-long tale, and it looks like Tigra wants to bring the team back together again - but why would she after all that's happened?  And just who is this new master that she mentions?  There's more to this story, so make sure you come back tomorrow for chapter 6!

  1. I say it's Mandrill. As the only women shown to be immune to his narco-hypnotic pheromones were preadolescent girls!

  2. Nah! Not Mandrill. That biochemical gimmick is too dependent on olfactory proximity. I'll guess either Crossfire (ultra-sonic brainwashing), Mesmero (optically channeled psionic hypnosis), or the Controller (those Titanian slave discs).

  4. Thundercats to the rescue! But how do you know Lion-O isn't her new master? 🤔

  5. Also Ross, you've managed to capture the spirit of the endings of Batman 66 cliffhanger episodes. Today's commentary would do William Dozier proud. Cheers!

  6. One final question: will there (finally) be a catfight between Tigra and Barbara "the Cheetah" Minerva?

  7. Btw: RIP, to Neal Adams, who passed away yesterday at age 80. The first time I ever heard his now-legendary name was in JLA (v.1) #92. In that issue, the conclusion of an annual team-up with the JSA, Earth-2's Dick Grayson mentions to Earth-1's Robin how a red-and-gold outfit, with bifurcated glider cape, had been designed for him by a "friend named Neal Adams."

I have admired his work ever since.

  8. On a lighter note: I'm surprised you never had Cat-Man take on the Black Panther.
