Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. in: "Sivana's Pet Sentinel!"

The first trailer for the Disney+ Ms. Marvel series has been released, and it looks fun.  The show seems to be targeting a slightly younger demographic, sort of a John Hughes-type high school comedy mixed with the MCU.  That approach has worked for the Spider-Man movies, so it should do well here.  Her powers seem to be altered from the comics, I'm guessing so as not to be too similar to Mr. Fantastic.

Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. first met in STF #3034...

This was a Marvel-ous idea. And another robot bites the dust.

  2. Great splicing, Ross! Was Sivana originally standing on the right shoulder of Mr. Atom?

  3. Actually, my understanding is that Ms. Marvel's powers were altered (1) because Inhumans haven't been officially introduced to the MCU,* and (2) in order to be closer in effect to Captain Marvel's, for a sort of better unity in The Marvels.

As for this cover, I think it's great to see the Young Marvels together again. I hope it becomes an ongoing thing.

*At least, to the MCU's public. I'm still holding out some hope, however minuscule it may be, that the (in my opinion unfairly maligned) Inhumans TV show will be brought into the MCU canon.

  4. I second @Bob's ongoing thing remark. Maybe a link to the Danvers twins?
    BTW, a real fun cover.

  5. Dave is right. Even Beppo the Super Monkey visiting the Planet of the Apes couldn't be a bigger hoot!

  6. Beppo on the Planet of the Apes? That's almost as good as Swamp Thing vs. the Killer Tomatoes.

  8. @Bob Greenwade: preferably, as a crossover between the two animated series!

  9. @Cary: I was thinking along those lines, ideally.
