The Question and The Hulk

Considering all the times the government manages to lose track of a rampaging green monster, this could be a regular gig for The Question.  But where has the Hulk found himself this time - Sakaar, The Microverse, the future? Vic Sage has got his work cut out for him here.

  1. As Jessica Jones' new g.f.f. (ghostly friend forever) might say:

"It's elementary, my dear Sage! Once you've eliminated the possible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Therefore, the presence of a circus poster, on the wall of this same alleyway, is no mere coincidence. The Hulk is once more in the hypnotic thrall of Maynard Tiboldt. The Ringmaster of Crime!"

  2. Nah. The big poster's a writer's clue: The Hulk got into something that's rendered him invisible.

  3. You mean, like the Silver Age Phantom Zone?

  4. @Bob & Anon: perhaps. But, I doubt it.

  5. Actually, I was thinking more of Griffin's invisibility potion. Or perhaps Lyle Norg's, through another timestorm.

  6. Good one. Always great to see The Question. I was hoping for that Jack Of Hearts / Cupid match-up for Valentines day. Maybe next year?

  9. @Ross: Not to me, and I'm single too!

@Cary: I believe you mean "Once you've eliminated the IMpossible..."?:)

  10. As Old Jade Jaws, himself, might say: "Bah! Puny Daviticus. Nothing impossible for Hulk. Hulk is strongest one there is!!"

  11. Which is why I can't see Hulk being injected with a hypo full of invisibility serum. His thick skin, alone, would bend the needle's point beyond repair!

Nope; I have to stick with abduction through some kind of mind-control. And, if not the Ringmaster's hypno-hat, then either Mesmero's mutant eyes; or one of the Controller's Thanosian slave discs.

  12. @Cary: Not all invisibility sera are injected. Some are swallowed. That's why I picked on Griffin and Lyle.

  13. Afterthought:

"Once you've eliminated the possible, whatever remains, however probable, must be a toon."

    Sherlock Holmes & Spider-Ham.

  14. @Bob: one of them would've had to slip him their serum in the form of a Mickey Finn. And, while even the Hulk has to eventually get thirsty, those green mitts of his aren't exactly delicate enough to pick up a conventional drinking glass without smashing it on the very first over-exertion of pressure.

  15. No, I'm afraid my original hypothesis still stands.
