This marks the 26th appearance of The WW/Cap team on this blog, and it looks like someone's trying to monkey around with their marriage. As cool as it is that someone had the ability to change Cap into and Ape, I'm even more impressed that they were able to locate a uniform that fit him in that form. Those oversized toed boots can't be easy to find!
Being friends of the Flash, they shopped at Gorilla City.
ReplyDeleteEither that, or they're courtesy of Sir Gaye, the High Evolutionary's tailor bird, in Wundagore.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though: while I recognize the Wonder Woman image from the issue of B&B volume 1/#140, is the simian Cap image from one of the Marvel Apes mini-series?
Fun! I'm sure everyone will go ape over this one!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though (OK, make that a little less not-seriously), you could drop the Ape-Vengers on the Planet of the Apes, or team up against Grodd and/oror the Ultra-Humanite as the champions of justice for Gorilla City.
I'm confident Detective Chimp can solve the mystery of Cap's new ape-erence. And hopefully return him to his human form.
ReplyDeleteBut if not Diana will surely take on a simian-lar body shape. After all, you can't stop the course of true love. Especially on the STF blog.
@Dave: I'm sure she'd become the gorilla of his dreams!
ReplyDeleteWhere's Congorilla when you need him?
ReplyDeleteIs Aqua-ape Arthur Curry holding the knife?
ReplyDeleteI always liked the way Jim Aparo drew Wonder Woman. I wish he would have had the chance to do it more often....
ReplyDeleteHow about Blackbolt and the Insimians vs. Darkseid of Ape-okolips?
ReplyDeleteHi Ross, Have you ever thought of a cover showing Wonder Woman introducing Cap to the rest of her brother and niece/nephew i.e. Wonder man (Marvel), Wonder Girl (DC) and Wonder Boy (Quality Comics) and maybe even their pet Wonder Warthog? I appreciate the Wonder Boy request might be difficult because there are very few images of him available but I’m sure that if it is possible then you could achieve it.
ReplyDeleteOops missed out the word family in the above comment
ReplyDelete@Brian: no problema. :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S.---how about The Mask vs. "Ape" Ventura, Pet Detective Chimp?
ReplyDelete@Cary: Nah! Trying to find corresponding photo-captures for that would drive poor Ross bananas.
ReplyDeleteMaybe so. but it would still be "appealing".
ReplyDelete@tobor: GOOD ONE! :-)
ReplyDeleteDiana looks like she's thinking Goddess, I wish I had some breath mints to get him to use.
ReplyDelete@Horsefeathers: LOL!
