Power Girl and Spider-Man

It was mentioned in an earlier comment section that Spider-Man and Power-Girl had not yet crossed paths on this blog, and I felt that it was indeed time for them to meet.  I can't wait to see what's in store for Spider-Man: No Way Home.  There's been all kinds of rampant speculation, but I just hope that all the big surprises have not been spoiled yet.  We should be getting a second trailer soon that may confirm some persistent rumors.

  1. Great homage to 70s covers, Ross. Really nice composition.

  2. What a wonderful cover. It's a great follow up to the Superman - Spider-Man stories. Having the villain throw an unconscious Spidy overboard from that high up is different. No web parachute this time. And with a super speed bombing vehicle aimed at the city, Karen does have a bit of a pickle. Great story as well.

  5. Yup it's Stegron, he was cool! I like the circle headshots too, I'll start adding them more from time to time

  6. Solution, simple. She super-speeds to Spidey; locates one of the squirt bulbs underneath his sleeves; thwips some of that fast-drying web fluid up at the high-tech buzz bomb; wraps up Spidey in the other end of the web line; and then pulls the buzz bomb in the opposite direction from Manhattan!

As for the upcoming Spider-sequel? Based on the spoiler at the end of VLTBC, I'd have to guess that Peter Parker 3 winds up on the Earth where Eddie Brock never knew Gwen Stacy.

  7. @Anonymous: I assume you're referring to the Topher Grace and Bryce Howard versions. Right?

  8. Whoa! Awesome cover!

Like anything, I am trying to avoid as much as possible any previews of the next Spider-Man film. I was completely blown away by Far From Home and Jake Gyllenhall's Mysterio!

(I also loved Tom Holland's inspirational Spider-Man in What If...?)

    Love that cover!

  9. Stegron, eh? And here I'd assumed that it was the Lizard, miscolored. I'm even going to have to go look up who Stegron is. That shows how much I know.

As for SM:NWH, I get the feeling that we could read a synopsis of the ending the day before it's released and still get a blast out of the movie. And of course the IMDb will have the complete cast list at least a couple of weeks ahead, likely confirming Tobey and Andrew... and still we'll love it.

@Dave: That actually was Hudson Thames voicing Spidey in that episode. I don't know the specific reason they didn't use Tom Holland, though I suspect that it was scheduling. Hudson did capture the character well enough that most people couldn't tell the difference even knowing that it was someone else (and Mick Wingert as Tony Stark was almost as good).
