One of the reasons that I am so impatient for The Fantastic Four to make their MCU debut is because I always considered Benjamin J. Grimm to be the ambassador of the Marvel Universe (thanks to comics like Marvel Two-In-One). I am dying to see him interact with the rest of the heroes we've met so far. Let's have a poker night scene! Most of all I want to see a live action Thing Vs. Hulk fight!
With CGI you might get Thing with Hulk vs SuperAdaptoid.
ReplyDeleteCGI will be only way we will see Thing vs Hulk; never live.
ReplyDelete@Ross: was this taken from the FF issue where Johnny Storm and Sir Gorr (the golden gorilla of Wundagore) were trapped on a Skrull colony world modeled after Earth's Middle Ages?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: if memory serves, that was F.F. v.I/#173. And, as you already pointed out, it was Sir Gorr and the Human Torch on that world. So, I hardly think Ben Grimm would've been so misleadingly drawn on the cover of that ish!
ReplyDeleteIt's from MTIO #68
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ross! :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. @ Cary: no comic book cover was ever more misleadingly drawn than DC's "House of Secrets" #114!
ReplyDeleteThat female figure skater was nowhere in the related story. Just an illustrative version of what we now call "clickbait."
While DC has its "trinity" in Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, Marvel's tends to consist of Spider-Man, Thing, and an inconsistently rotating third post that can be Wolverine, Hulk, Iron Man, or some other hero depending on whom you ask and when. That last part is one area where DC has been consistently stronger than Marvel.
ReplyDelete@"me": They'll be doing it MoCap. The MCU's only CGI characters (to date) are Rocket and Groot.
@Anon@8:58: Well, it is a House of Secrets.
Sudden thought: Aliens vs. Starro in: "Face Invaders!"
ReplyDeleteHa!
DeleteIf you had waited to post this on Saturday, you could have called this cover "Saturday Knight Fever".
ReplyDelete@Bob: Secrets, yes. Inaccuracies and Lies? Definitely not!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I do echo Isaac's approval of your punny title suggestion. And Ross should seriously take you up on it!
ReplyDelete@Bob, Isaac, & Anon: I second that emotion. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhether you're a Mother or a Brother You're Stayin' Alive Stayin' Alive Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah STAYIN' AAAAAAAALIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
ReplyDeletehow about "knight things"....lol
ReplyDelete@Anon: I'm just saying, maybe the skater was in there. But where? It's a secret....
ReplyDelete@Bob & Anon: A Hitchcockian poster, way in the background, perhaps?
ReplyDelete@Cary and Bob: Nope! Not even that much of a cameo appearance.
ReplyDeleteAnd right around the corner is the Knight-Mare on Elm Street.
ReplyDeleteKatana always loved Orange Rocky Road.
"Orange Rocky Road! Take me home...to the place...I beloooong!
ReplyDeleteYokahama! On Honshu Island. Orange Rocky Road...take me home."
