Mickey Mouse, Calvin & Hobbes and Snoopy

I still fondly remember one of my first stuffed animals from almost half a century ago.  I had a plush Snoopy that I brought everywhere with me.  What is mostly recall is that I had a bad habit of carrying him by his ears and they kept tearing off, so my mother would have to sew them back on from time to time.  Not many memories from those early years stand out, but that's something that has always stayed with me.

  2. Creativity at its best! Never had Snoopy as a kid, loved Peanuts and now I've got a Snoopy bobblehead and a plush, both have Santa hats so the ears aren't as prominent! Glad a dog and cat and mouse can all work together for a masterpiece! Thanks for making this team happen!

  5. Just charming - and yet another that seems seamless (or even seemless). Neat title too.

"It was a dark and gloomy winter's night. Suddenly.. ." Loved the book. Can't wait to see them on the book tour.

  7. You can tell that it's a 21st-century piece, because the only use that the grammar book's getting is as a booster seat for Snoopy.

Re: Paul's comment: Maybe we could get the Ghostbusters, Snoopy, and Garfield? "Dogs and Cats Living Together!"

@HHH: The quote is: "It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly, a shot rang out!" (That quote was the inspiration for my mystery-comedy play It Was a Dark and Stormy Night, and is included, with citation, in the dialogue).

  8. Hobbes, as a (toy) tiger, is a cat.

  9. Snoopy's story was adapted by Len Wein and Walt Simonson into a memorable 2-page Batman story. See the second item at https://www.cbr.com/comic-book-legends-revealed-273/

@BG: Know the quote and know BB's 2 pager. Decided to go with the snow on the windows.

  11. @Ross: in today's politically over-correct climate, it wouldn't surprise me if someone honestly wound up trying to get you boycotted for cruelty to plush animals.

    *Bitterly sarcastic lol!*

Speaking of surprises, though: this is your most unexpected grouping to date. But, one that is surprisingly easy to accept! The only way you might (arguably) be able to surpass this...is to have Goofy offer do-it-yourself advice.

    "YAH-hoo-hooeeeeeeey!"

  12. Wait till you see Betty Boop's intro to the book.

  13. If Betty Boop were a passenger on Popeye's ship, would she be allowed on the "Poop-poopy-doop" deck?

  16. @Bob Greenwade: well, let's face it. The only place that "May I..." and "Can I..." are not used interchangeably is in the class room!

Only the real world regards them as synonymous (and rightly so).
