G.I. Robot and War Machine

Robert Downey Jr. recently reiterated that his time as Tony Stark is indeed done, and he is not even planning to return for voice overs.  Does Don Cheadle still have movies on his contract?  This could be a good opportunity for War Machine  and James Rhodes to be more fleshed out in the movies as he will be the premiere Armored hero in the MCU going forward.

  1. Marvel is at an interesting time. No one left of the original guard. Will their personalities pay off for the new generation?"
For a next pairing, a human with robot covering AND a robot with a humanistic cover?(ie Red Tornado's human guise? or a Superman robot?)

  2. GI Joe and War Machine are a fun combo - but Kong (is it he?) really catches my eye here. Have you ever done a Grodd-Kong contest? Brain-Brawn versus way more brawn.
Or... I sense a team coming on...an Ape Alliance. Ape (of Angel &), Detective Chimp, Congorilla...Hmm. DC heavy. Sorry. Help me out here...

  3. @Tobor: How about a Golden Age meeting between Robotman and the Human Torch? (Not the Doom Patrol and Fantastic Four heroes, but their predecessors.)

  4. Maybe Robotman could meet Rosie (the robot) Jetson (2017!); they both were once HUMAN.

  5. With Wilma Flintstone having been an Immortal? That is; up until someone shouted "There can be only one!" and decapitated her? With her Quickening inadvertently being abosrbed by the positronic brain of a robot housekeeper?

  8. @jack-el: Maybe Ross could do a photo cover with John deLancie and Desmond Llewellyn?

  9. @Davejonz: for all I know, that's a time-traveling Titano!

  10. @Cary and Dave: that's quite possible. Per Degaton could've summoned him from the future so the Axis Powers could recruit him for what DC used to call "The War That Time Forgot."

  11. @Bob Greenwade: and also Robert Burton, John Cleese and Ben Whishaw as well....
and the could all be Q batteling the flying Aztek creature from the David Carridine movie "Q".....

  12. I'd rather see that flying Aztec creature take on the Showa-era Godzilla in...THE G/Q WAR!
