It was a pleasant surprise to see Sir Justin, The Shining Knight, show up on the Stargirl series. I guess I should not have been surprised, as he was a major supporting character in the Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. comic book. Hopefully in the second season his clouded memories will clear up and we can see him fully suited up for action.
Love this! Always like a Pegasus-style flying horse - but two duking it out aerially is great fun. Great matching again here - and also love that castle in the background.
ReplyDeleteI will guess that the "Merlin" being referenced here is the mutant impostor who was initially a Thor-foe, prior to fighting the X-men and the Hulk as "The Warlock" and "Maha Yogi," respectively.
ReplyDeleteSo did he borrow the Black Knights horse for this meeting?
ReplyDelete@Cary & MIB: most likely, to both questions.
ReplyDeleteThis has a very cool look. Still, I'd prefer Valkyrie to be astride Aragorn with the Shining Knight on Winged Victory.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Justin's memory seemed to be back in gear by the end of the Stargirl season finale. At the end, he went off to locate both his horse and the other Soldiers of Victory.
@Bob Greenwade: Well, let's see now. If memory serves, one should be a centaur mind-controlled by Circe in ancient Greece. Another should be pinch-hitting for Robin Hood in 12th-century Nottingham. A third should be gunslinging in the Old West. And the other three should be spread out between the Stone Age, ancient Egypt, and Mexico B.C. (Before Cortez).
ReplyDeleteJust in, for the weekend, The Saturday Knight Special: Rainbow S.T.R.I.P.E. cake & ice-cream. Comes with a large toy robot. As for the story, wait till the later half of the book when they have to go thru the Mage's Mazes at Midnight.
ReplyDeleteDoes Prince Valiant make an appearance?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Can I get those HORSEFEATHERS to go?:)
ReplyDelete@Anon@6:53: Based on what?
ReplyDelete@Bob Greenwade: Justice League of America #100-102, where the combined JLA-JSA searched through time for the lost Seven Soldiers.
ReplyDelete@JJ & Bob: JLA (v.1) #100-02, to be exact.
ReplyDelete@Anon/Jay/Cary: I remember that adventure in the comics. However, we already know where Pat is, at least, and probably Sylvester as well (regardless of what we saw at the very end of the finale). I don't think that's where the producers are going for this show.
ReplyDeleteMaybe A.R.G.U.S. has the other five on ice in Freeland! That's assuming, of course, that STARGIRL takes place on the newly consolidated post-Arrowverse Crisis Earth.
ReplyDeleteIt takes place on Earth-2 in the new Multiverse.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have Nth Metal to float, use horse-feathers??
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do during molting season??
@ Double Question Mark: I counter-claim that it's either rabbit season or duck season.
ReplyDeleteLike a Turducken??
ReplyDelete@anon8:13, Elmer Fudd must be around then.
ReplyDelete@Detective Tobor: If so, I haven't heard from him.
ReplyDeleteI guess he's being vewy, vewy quiet. Hahahahahahahaha!
It's a Live action game of the Video Game JOUST!
ReplyDelete@BKM: more likely, Dr. Strange used the properties of the Time Stone to travel back to Camelot in order to ask Merlin about the whereabouts of the Valkyrie (see STF #2568). But, he got wind of what Morgan Le Fay was planning for him and the other six Soldiers of Victory (see STF #1852) and tried to warn them. Only to get hung up (literally) in STF #2896!
