I love looking at Golden Age covers featuring Hawkman. Sheldon Moldoff and others really went to town when depicting his wings - they were huge, almost out of control and very impressive looking! Let's hope the next live action Hawkman can do them justice.
Iron Man and Hawkman shared a Bronze Age adventure in STF #2301...
Tony's reply: "That's no museum exhibit -- that's ME!!!"
ReplyDeleteIf I remember correctly, that "caveman" turned out to be some kind of alien robot!
ReplyDeleteThe Silver Age Iron Man looks really stiff and clunky compared with his updated MCU incarnation. But he goes seamlessly together with Golden Age Hawkman (who looks as if he's ready to moult.)
ReplyDeletetry teaming Hawkman with Greatest American Hero and Dr Strange. You could call it
ReplyDelete"Flying Away with a wing and a prayer.".
I like Horsefeathers' suggestion, except that instead of Dr. Strange I'd use the Confessor (unless someone can come up with another superhero whose "day job" is a priest, pastor, rabbi, etc.).

ReplyDelete@Anonymous: I thought sure that image was from the debut of The Freak.
ReplyDelete@Carycomic Too bad it's not the debut of Freakazoid!
ReplyDeleteNah! He'd be better off facing against The Fat Fury.
