Mickey Mouse and Doctor Strange

This is another one of those team up ideas I saw discussed in the comments that really stayed with me.  I'm surprised that I had not considered it before - their titles work together so well.  Not to mention the fact that now they are both under the Disney umbrella, this odd pairing could actually become a reality some day.

  1. After Into the Spidyverse? This is almost a given. But it might be Minnie instead of Micky. Love the Alex Ross touch.

  3. A Disney comic from Free Comic Book Day years ago had Magica De Spelluse the term "Sorceress Supreme"; maybe that was a post Disney/Marvel merger story.

  4. Since Disney owns Magical Mickey, he might find new life by being added to the future televised version of that 1990 - 1991 Marvel classic, "Mices of Infinite Earths". He'd be sharing screen time with Mighty Mouse, the Minotaur, the Piranha, Harebinger, the Anti-Minotaur, Mangy Mouse, Bat-Bat, Strongman, and the original powerhouse, Supermouse! It would be worth it!

  5. Ross this is a real gem. The Doctor looks pensive, as well he might - Mickey looks as if he's more annoyed with the Doc than the two Bad Guys.

  6. Thank you!!
    This is wonderful!

(It was me who suggested this...)

  7. I wouldn't hold my breath for this to actually happen. Disney's rather less open than Warner about crossing over their various properties. The latter's had their DC Meets Looney Tunes and DC Meets Hanna-Barbera collections, but there's been no indication of Marvel ever following suit.

Not that it wouldn't be a great thing. A Marvel Meets Star Wars collection could be loads of fun, with the Spacejammers fighting alongside the Millennium Falcon or Thor going toe-to-toe against Darth Vader. There's also plenty of potential between Marvel and Disney's native characters; I know plenty of fans have been wanting to see Donald Duck meet Howard, and what wouldn't be to love about Deadpool sharing an adventure with Goofy?

Access could even come around and temporarily merge the Marvel and Disney characters, making possible some of the delightful mashups seen on DeviantArt when the acquisition first happened, such as Donald Duck/Wolverine and Goofy/Galactus.

Even so, this is indeed one of your best covers, and should Disney ever relent and go for this sort of thing, I hope that just such a story is at the front of the line.

On a tangentially related note, I'd like to suggest a meeting between the Big Two's flagship funny-animal superheroes, Captain Carrot and Spider-Ham.

Another, similarly interesting pairing just occurred to me: SP//dr (Peni Parker) and S.T.R.I.P.E. (Pat Dugan).

  8. I, for one, wouldn't mind it if Marvel/Disney published a team-up featuring their red-bearded Hercules and their blond clean-shaven Hercules.

  9. Love this one. If there is ever another Marvel Disney crossover (check out Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel) I'd love to see Spider-Ham and crew in DuckTales. Gizmo Duck and the Scavengers would be great.

  10. Depending on whether Disney allows Marvel to be used in Kingdom Hearts, there's a chance this could actually happen.

  11. @GL: why not? There's already a videogame where Street Fighter characters are now permanently residents of a Marvel parallel-Earh.

  12. BTW,like Kevin Sorbo's "Hercules", maybe Emperor Kuzco could fit in a story involving the titular character of "The Book of Mormon", or his spirit.

  13. I thought the name of that particular tome was THE BOOK OF MORONI.

  14. And doesn't Kuzco refer to the Peruvian capital?

  15. THIS is why I check this blog regularly, and go back a few days if I missed any. ^_^

  16. Howard the Duck takes on the mad Madame Mim?

  17. Not the Sorcerer Supreme's Apprentice?

Personally I always wondered about a Howard the Duck meets Donald Duck matchup...

  18. I'm sorry, but seeing the name Kuzco makes me expect to see a big membership discount store. (I suppose it'd be located near the Darth Mall shopping center.)

  19. I think this will happen in Multiverse of Madness!
