I am really looking forward to the final installment of the first season of The Mandalorian. I've been getting a kick out of the series and have enjoyed it more than most of the recent Star Wars movies. Hopefully we will get some answers about cute little Baby Yoda, we have yet to receive any back story on where he came from or his relations if any to the Jedi Master we know from the original trilogy.
Brought to you by Disney, the name goes on and on and on!
ReplyDeleteHow about a Jaguar / Phantom team-up. The Jaguar is an animal fellow and used to find himself in the jungle from time to time.
ReplyDeleteThat hook up service on Yancy Street really works.
ReplyDeleteRight hook?
DeleteI could imagine Yoda giving training to Batman, but I like this one too.
ReplyDeleteClobbering time, it is.
ReplyDeleteHow about Baby Yoda and Baby Sinclair (Dinosaurs)?
ReplyDeleteGizmosDad beat me to the best line....
ReplyDeleteBut this is a cool cover nonetheless. The lightsaber in Ben's hand is a nice touch -- though I'm thrown a tiny bit seeing the lightsabers in both of the characters' left hands. I see Yoda doing a different Force trick with his right hand, so maybe Ben's just getting ready to lead with his fist. (And speaking of the fist, fie on the artist for leaving off Ben's pinkies! I'm pretty sure he still has those in most drawings.)
Mickey's idea of Yoda training Batman is a fun one. Jedi Batman would be an interesting "alternate version."
Or Professor X could open a new training academy, with Yoda, Wildcat, and Splinter among the faculty. (I'm sure other readers can come up with more possibilities.)
Or Yoda and Puck. Now, there's two characters who are sure to see eye-to-eye on things....
I'm looking forward to seeing tomorrow's offering. Merry Christmas!
No Ben only has 3 fingers and a thumb on each hand. (Not sure why he has 5 toes though.)
DeleteBob - being a southpaw myself, I find I often subconsciously make characters left handed!
ReplyDeleteI guess that this teamup solves the question of "do same corporate masters count as being STF-eligible?", as this is Disney+Disney.
ReplyDeleteWhich is good, since eventually Dark Horse and Image will cash out to one of corporate giants that don't have many comics / graphic novels in their IP inventory (like NBC/Universal or National Amusements/CBS), or get gobbled up by Disney or ATT/Warner.
I have no complaints about SWEp. 9: TROS. In fact, I daresay it compensated quite nicely for the (very) few drawbacks that I noted in my Imdb review of Episode 8: TLJ!
ReplyDeleteRe: today's cover. I was half-expecting Yoda to be taking on John Carpenter's metamorphic monster of the same name. Can you imagine the latter turning out to be a Sith-trained Shi'ido?
"The Dark Side strong in you, is. But, still kick the Shi'ido out of you I will!"
ReplyDeleteBennie - mass and muscle definitely. Speed ? Not so much.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Yoda will someday meet the Atom and have more than a Ray of hope.
@Bigby65: Thank you for the clarification. I guess Jack Kirby is to blame for that.
ReplyDelete@Bob Greenwade: Actually, it was Reed Richards' lack of adequate shielding.
ReplyDelete@Very 1st Anonymous: Jaguar meeting Spidey's ex-girlfriend, the Black Cat, would be more fitting. That way, Ross could entitle it...
"Partying Hardy!"
Or, failing that, Yoda meeting Dr. Fate on Princess Amidala's homeworld in... "Nabu Comes To Naboo."
ReplyDeleteOr, failing that, how about the little guy appearing on the NBC Today Show. I can just hear Kathy Lee's introduction, now.
ReplyDelete"Hoda? Yoda! Yoda? Hoda!"
