Iron Man and Red Tornado (Part Two)

Continued from yesterday's cover, we see the thrilling conclusion to our story...

Between the various MCU movies, audiences have been able to see many iterations of Iron Man's armor on the big screen.  The suit he wore in Avengers: Endgame came close, but I still wish we had gotten a version of his classic 70's-80's look (the one right below his logo on the above cover) at some point.  Maybe if we get a Secret Wars movie down the road, Rhodey can don that particular suit, just as he did in the comic book version of that crossover story.

  1. I absolutely agree. Sometimes less is more, and the armors with all the plates and components and lines and insets are just too damn much - for ANY hero! I'd swear the DC movie Justice Leaguers were ALL wearing armor plates. The FLASH? Ridiculous.

And you bet I miss that outfit. For a time, while George Perez was drawing the Avengers, they had cause to go back to that armor, and I damn near cheered.

Hey, this is a damned sharp cover. It looks as if Bob Layton did the Iron Man part.

  2. Techno-virus could go all the way to the controls for making the suits. Then it could replicate itself and go dormant somewhere safe. Morrow could be one of the better villains for Tony.

  3. I can’t believe how few comments there have been today and yesterday. It’s great to see Reddy on this blog.

  4. The one where the shell-head mask has a capital v-shape? Or a capital m-shape?

  5. Knowing Disney owns Marvel and that they were so big on character popsicles I couldn't wait until they made batches of different cherry/lemon pops for all of Tony's suits. Don't think I ever saw one.

  6. Since it's his worst dreams already, bout The Batman vs Nightmare. Power vs state of mind and will.

Since it's Red and yellow time, there is the time Spider-Woman was done live in the 1987 - with Captain Justice on Once A Hero.... and Saturday Night Live - even earlier.
