It's the clash that this Five-Part saga has been building to from the beginning! Don't forget to check out Part One , Part Two... and Part Three... and make sure you come back tomorrow for the exciting conclusion to our story!
Where is Geo-Force in the DCU these days? I don't see him in the latest iteration of The Outsiders. Has he made through the last few rounds of reboots, or is he another victim of the DC Ginger Curse? I'm guessing that between Doomsday Clock and the Superman identity reveal, another reboot is on the way, so maybe then he'll get another chance (Halo, too).
"DC Ginger Purge" is more like it.
ReplyDeleteFunny how regals get all their info from foes and not their advanced intel teams.
ReplyDeleteAt least, Geoforce has been featured in the third season of Young Justice, but I would have preferred to have seen him in the costume we know him in.
ReplyDeleteLast I remember seeing Geo-Force was in Flashpoint. I honestly can't think of any time he may have appeared in the New 52. If he has shown up, it was probably in a situation where there's a whole bunch of heroes and he's just kinda in the background.
ReplyDeleteThey do have the new Batman and the Outsiders series running now, with Black Lightning and Katana both in it, so it's possible he'll show up there sometime.
I was right. I was right! I WAS RIGHT!
ReplyDeleteDoom was out to instigate a fight between these two. For all I know, that might even be Doom, himself, in Geo-Froce's body. Discourtesy of that Ovoid transmigration trick!
I have to give credit to Cary: That does indeed look like what's going on. The only other option is that Part 1 actually showed Geo-Force with Doom right where he wanted him, but somehow I find that unlikely.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Geo-Force, and backing up a bit to the text with part One, it does look like he's in the Black Lightning universe, but instead of a Markovian named Brion Markov he's a young African-American named Brandon. (A character named Brion Markov did appear in Season 1 of Arrow, but he was a scientist rather than a metahuman.)
Prince Brion appeared in the Suicide Squad Most Wanted Katana mini-series in 2016. I don't remember if he appeared as Geo Force there.
ReplyDeleteAt least he didn't appear in Heroes in Crisis!
If I remember right, he was at least mentioned in an early issue of the current Justice League series.
ReplyDeleteSomebody please explain why they bother inserting names of characters in shows that have nothing to do with the actual character of the comic? Is a shout out of a name a real enjoyment to the fans when the name is the only thing being used?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous and Proud of it: I know, right?? I tend to think it's out of laziness, as in, using a pre-existing character's name is easier than coming up with a new one!
ReplyDeleteI think that he appeared briefly in 'Doomsday Clock', in one of several panels that showed non-USA heroes organising in case the US government's deliberate production of so many super-beings led to war...
ReplyDelete@Proudlyanonymous: evidently, yes.
ReplyDeleteMore's the pity! :-(
