Dark Matter in: "Shadow Play!"

With the Debut of Disney+ and its new programming, Marvel is getting serious about keeping its cinematic universe cohesive.  The Freeform Cloak and Dagger series is the latest casualty of this decision.  I quite liked the show, and hope the characters show up in the MCU proper one of these days.  I was introduced to them as guest stars of Spider-Man, so it would be cool to see them with the web slinger down the line (Spidey rights permitting).

Dark Matter first appeared in STF #1530...

  1. Creativity at its best. You earned a round of approval for such a great hand.

Heard on the news Disney is expecting to make 75 million subscribers in 5 years. At $7 a customer * 75 million * 12 months year = not much need for movies in theaters.
    Just keep feeding the audience.

  2. Truly a beautiful cover. It's great in that it evokes the classic pulp covers of the 1930s. Take a bow, Ross.

  3. I can just imagine Shiwan Khan manipulating the Light Brigade to take on this group.

  4. I too am disappointed that Cloak and Dagger has been taken away, and I hope Aubrey and Olivia get to come back in those roles in the future, even if it's only on a Disney+ show. Guest or supporting roles on Moon Knight might be fitting for that -- though they might also fit into a Black Widow sequel.

It might also be fitting for each of the now-cancelled TV shows to get an episode in the second season of What If...?.

As to a couple other members of the team (since they're here): I'm still eager to see The Shadow teamed with She-Ra; and I still would love to see Shadow Lass and Nocturne headline a team of blue-skinned heroines.

Cranston's lament not being able to include Raven as the joker in the deal.
Great contrast in styles between Kent himself and the art styles of his crew.

You have Code Red for the girls, how bout the Red Headed League for the boys? First members: Jimmy Olsen and Archie.

  6. Speaking of Disney Plus, any chance of the Gargoyles showing up here again? I spent the better part of the day yesterday watching, and will likely do the same today!

  7. Just saw Disney has 10 million customers @ $7 each. 70 mil* 12 months= 840 mil a yr.
They just became their own bank.

  8. Nice one. I especially like your various Theme-Teams. What about a Cat lady team? You could have Catwoman, of course, the 2 Black Cats from different eras, Hellcat, Tigra, maybe even a temporarily reformed Cheetah... You have paired some of them up before. Maybe now it's time for a Justice For Felines League.

  9. Or Ross could just shorten it to "Feline Force."

  11. The same thing that happened when Bambi met Godzilla, I imagine.

  13. Maybe a villain group of "clowns" could be shown, including Ghost Clown (Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!), Zombozo (Ben 10), Pennywise (Stephen King's "It"), and The Joker; They could be called "Killer Klowns". XD!
