Elongated Man and Moon Knight in: "I Hate You, Man"

Back by popular demand!  The boys return for another thriller due to overwhelming interest in their unique partnership.  OK, maybe that's not completely true... I'm the only one demanding this team.  What can I say, I like them together!

This is the third appearance of the MK/EM team - Ralph came to the rescue in STF #2518, and they first started working together in STF #2169...

  1. Great again, Ross. These links you develop between characters are great. My favourite pairing is Cap/Wonder Woman. Inspired! And coach Wildcat isn't far behind.

But there's one pairing of yours that's crying out for follow-ups. It's my all-time favourite cover of yours - Spidey hanging in the Bat Cave, having tracked down his real father - Bruce Wayne!

Who is Spidey's mother - Batwoman, Catwoman? Could marriage or adoption follow? What would it mean for Robin?

Anyway, keep them coming, Ross. Your blog is amazing.

  2. That one was just Mysterio and The Riddler messing with them.

  3. Great timing Ross. According to one of the Youtube posters, Ralph is getting "a Sue" this season. If you're going to have a Major Crisis of the Eaths again, its nice to have a partner(?) for Ralph now. And that Psycho mask does look a bit better on tv, but it's still just an imitation of Dr. Fate's helmet.

  4. Well, I did ask for a trilogy, back @ STF #2518, and I obviously got it. To which I can only say...Thanks, Ross! :-)

Should the Earth-STF version of Sue Dibny start being concerned?

    "Shhhhhhh! Don't ask/don't tell."

  5. @Davejonz: in a situation like that, I would've guessed...The Black Widow!* Speaking of which; has Batman ever teamed up with Natasha Romanova on this site?

*One of the Golden Age originals, to be exact. Either "Clair Voyant" or Linda Masters.

  6. I'm still hoping for a showdown with Moon Knight facing off against Eclipso. The characters' respective names just demand it. (The next significant eclipse visible in North America, BTW, will be in January.)

I agree with Dave about the continuing partnerships you've developed on the blog, though. My personal favorite is the Power Couple (Power Man and Power Girl), though I'd really love to see more of the Strange brothers and the Danvers Twins.

  7. Imagine the conversations these two would have.

In keeping with both the 'Trouble' comic from Mark Millar and the Crossover nature of this blog, his mother is Aunt May. ;)

  9. The Black Widow as Spidey's mother. I'd love to see where that goes.

But I can't believe an Aunt May-Bruce Wayne affair.

Ross, maybe Mysterio was on to something. There could be a lot of mileage in it.

  10. Cary, Yes Batman and BW teamed in my B&B MS Paint days.

Bob, I have plans for all of those relationships to return... and yes I an aware of Eclipso/MK possibilities

Davejonz... the Mysterio/Riddler team may not have appeared on that cover, but they just may on a future cover

if you click on her label, you'll see that Batman and Aunt May haven't gotten along since she hooked up with Alfred.

  11. Felix the Cat debuted 100 years ago this year (November 9, 1919). Do you have any plans for the character?

  12. When Kingpin, in a Spider-Man comic strip story where he mind-controlled Daredevil (ACTUALLY he only thought he did!), was saying that he'll off whoever won the fight between Daredevil and Spider-Man, was he using the cigar in his mouth as a prop, without smoking it?

  13. @Bob Greenwade: Especially if Jim Corrigan's former alter-ego had to aid his near-namesake against Eclipso. ;-)

  14. P.S. @Davejonz: how about a Thomas Wayne/May Reilly affair? With their love-child growing up to become...The Scorpion!

I am, of course, referring to one of the Detective Comics Annuals of the late Seventies/early Eighties. Within one of which there was a two-page spread of other crime-fighting motifs Bruce Wayne could've adopted to exploit the superstitious cowardice of some criminals. The Scorpion was one of them. Followed by the Stingray; the Iron Knight; the Shooting Star; etc. etc.

  15. @Ross: Yeah! But, that wasn't a one-on-one team-up between them. Which is what I think a lot of your fans would _truly_ prefer to see.

  16. It was a one on one team up.

  17. I loved Dick Dillin's art on JLA for you could always tell who someone was without the costume. Thanks for including it.

  18. @Ross: okay, then; how about a sequel one-on-one team-up between them?

  19. @Cary: I second that emotion! :-)

  20. "World's Greatest Fighting Team?"

PP must be mistaken. In the STF-verse, Steve and Diana Rogers have that title sewn up.
