Godzilla Vs. the Iron Giant

Despite Godzilla: King of the Monsters underperforming at the box office, it looks as though Godzilla Vs. Kong will be coming to theaters in a few years.  I know that Kong was given a significant increase in size in Kong: Skull Island, but will he big enough to take on Godzilla?  I'll be rooting for the big ape so I hope he finds the way to even what seem like lopsided odds to me.

  6. I was just now watching the Iron Giant. What are the odds? On the topic of Kong, maybe he'll spontaneously develop electrical powers like in their original fight.

  8. @Anonymous & det_Tobor: how about Godzilla vs. Barney the Purple Dinosaur?

    BARNEY: "I love you..."

    *WHOOSH!*

    GODZILLA: "You are toast!"

  9. My first comment was going to be speculation that Kong might grow super-giant-size after having an allergic reaction to Ebirah with radioactively melted butter. But, I decided the 2nd one would be funnier.

  11. This year marks the 100th anniversary of a character that I don't believe you have ever featured on this blog: Felix the Cat.

He was the first cartoon star. Walt Disney basically ripped off the character's look with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse.

Maybe you could do a cover with Felix confronting Mickey Mouse.

  12. Maybe with Walter Lantz's version of Oswald the Rabbit refereeing! :-)

  13. See the Howling Commandos with the Freedom Fighters for a holiday cover?

  14. +1 for Felix. The trickiest bit would be choosing a match. There are so many options. Like people have commented on the Phantom Stranger, most heroes or villains could be matched with Felix.
