I really loved the depiction of The Prowler in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. From his design, to the way he moved, to Mahershala Ali's vocal performance, he was a standout character in a movie full of scene-stealers. Hopefully we will see Donald Glover's Aaron Davis suit up as the Prowler in a live action Spidey flick one of these days.
Cool cover. Great way to end the work week.
ReplyDeletea suggestion. FORGOTTEN BUT NOT GONE
The Beast and Congorilla, the Golden Gorilla. vs Gorilla Grodd
I was thinking of the Beast and Astro City's Beautie.
DeleteWow, Ross must have been in a dark mood when he was working on this one! But its a great study on how to get depth (although a photo background helps) and motion out of just various shades of blue, gray, and black. I'm guessing the original art had a brighter character on it -- this one would look funny on the store rack.
ReplyDeleteNice. How about the original Marvel undercover hero: Shroud vs Batman
ReplyDeleteScott, That one is already on the blog.
ReplyDeleteI like the use of the Aparo style Bat logo. I think Aparo could have done a good job with the Prowler.

Another excellent cover! How about Prowler teaming up with Martian Manhunter or The Huntress.
ReplyDeleteOr with Ms. Martian as...The Martian Manhuntress!
