Huntress and Hawkeye in: "Night of the Dragon!"

This is the fifth appearance on the blog featuring these heroic siblings.

They first appeared together in STF #505...

Next, they had a twisted family reunion in STF #1387...

which continued into the next issue, STF #1388...

Then they visited their parents in STF #1877...

  1. What? No mention of Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye being in the scene in Avengers: Endgame that brings the directors of the film to tears? No mention of whether or not it is cool to see Renner's Ronin in the film? Or that Hush is the next Batman animated film adaptation. The original story featured a broken Huntress. She was manipulated by both Hush and The Scarecrow. It will be interesting to see just how much of that storyline makes it to translation.
    ;)

    As always, another awesome cover!

  2. Since all these stories take place on the same Earth that had Superman first meeting Spider-Man, Hawkeye could meet up with Dr Midnight (or is that a job for Daredevil to get Blind Justice?).

Ross, do you have a program that lists all the cover pairings and character appearances? That must have been a piece of work too. Is there a list of future team possibilities as well?

Since a Huntress is also Robin's sister, might he team up with Hawkeye?

Love the perspective used on the cover. Looks like a real piece of work.

  3. Huntress is Robin's sister?

Yes I have a list of future team possibiligties, I always jot down the suggestions that sound interesting and I have pages of them. No program to keep track of covers and appearances other than the label function on this blog and my memory.

The original(?) Huntress, Catwoman & Batman's daughter of Earth 2, was considered the younger sister. We found that out when that Batman died from cancer.

  5. I don't know about anybody else. But, for me, the best filmed/televised version of Hawkeye's comic book costume is still the public service commercial, sponsored by the American Dairy Association, back in the late Eighties/early Nineties.

  6. ITEM: det_Tobor, I'm afraid I'm not sure what you're referring to about Earth-2 Batman's death. He died of being blown up by a villain (Bill Jenkins?) empowered by Frederic Vaux. But you may have a more recent source than I recall.

ITEM: Hawkeye and Huntress as brother and sister is a neat idea. I don't know if anyone has noted... or even if anyone recalls... but for a time, Bobbi Morse was known as the Huntress when she worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. Funny coincidence... or is it? It was mentioned in Marvel Team-Up #95 (although she was cover featured as Mockingbird... for the first time, I think.)

ITEM: So maybe you can do Huntress and Huntress... possibly against Batman's foe Magpie. Well, yes it's crazy... we old people are always crazy. :P

  7. Edit - Batman died in an explosion with Bill Jensen (hey, I got close.) And according to America vs the Justice Society #4, Bruce Wayne DID have cancer. But what kind of way is that for Batman to die?

  8. Regsarding det_Tobor's comment yesterday on parallel world, maybe a cover, fanfic, etc. could introduce the Great Gazoo to a parallel Bedrock dominated by pokemon (i.e. shellder-powered refrigerators, growlithe-powered ovens, aerodactyls as pets, etc.); on the Flintstones, etc. animal-powered gadgets were cool. XD
