Even though the last episode of Netflix' Daredevil wrapped things up well, it's still too bad that the show has gone away, given the tease of a fully formed Bullseye at the end. I did miss seeing Matt Murdock in the red costume, which never happened in Season Three, and definitely wanted more of that as well. Like the X-Men, I guess we'll just have to give DD's world a rest for a few years, and then see what Marvel decides to do with it around Phase Six or so.
These two last tangled in STF #2377...
Ross, you could almost do a live version of this cover considering how much Slade appeared on Arrow. And if not from there, then from the J.L. movie.
ReplyDeleteRoss, any dream matches you haven't done yet but don't have the right material for, yet?
None that come to mind!
ReplyDeleteFor the scoop of the century! Lois Lane vs Kolchak, the Night Stalker!
ReplyDeleteBen Affleck's brother could always play him, now that Ben is more closely associated with the Dark Knight.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Disney will buy Netflix and fix all those agreements limiting use.
ReplyDeleteGreat cover, Ross! It's hard to tell where one artist ends and the other begins. But shouldn't this be "The Trial of Joseph Wilson" (aka Jericho)?
ReplyDeleteGiven that the Netflix contract only specifies a two-year "cooling-off" period, Daredevil could still show up in Phase Four or Five, even in the third Spider-Man film. Rumor has it that the next Overarching Big Bad for the Earth-bound MCU films will be Norman Osborn, but still, Matt's and Peter's turfs overlap enough that they could team up together, especially against the Kingpin (and Vincent D'Onofrio has expressed an interest in reprising the role in a Spider-Man movie).
Personally, if there's a future for the Netflix iterations of these characters, I'd most like to see a Heroes for Hire film, bringing Luke Cage and Iron Fist to the same journey's end that we got for Daredevil and Punisher. Including Colleen Wing and Misty Knight would be a must, of course; Claire Temple and Jessica Jones (along with the latter's supporting cast) would be a great bonus.
And at some point I'd love to see Matt Murdock across the aisle from Harvey Dent.

ReplyDelete@my namesake: you are a genius!
ReplyDeleteI even have the perfect plot device for bringing them together. Bizarro...vampirized by Dragorin of Transilvane. Ross could even use a modified version of the cover from WORLD'S FINEST #249!
I agree with both Anonymeeses: Borrow the Supervamp from WF #249. Plus the Kolchak from STF #1703. And, last-but-not-least? The Lois Lane from M.T.I.O. (v.2) #11!
