Iron Man and Doctor Fate

Iron Man has had a lot of armor variations in the MCU, and I have to say that I like his most recent Avengers: Endgame look the best of all of them.  It is the closest it has appeared to his classic bronze age armor that I loved so much as a kid.  I'd have gone full on old school with the hip-discs, shoulder pads and a full widow's peak helmet, but I was still very happy with the latest design.

  1. Love seeing classic Doctor Fate! And the blue/yellow contrasts nicely with the red/yellow costumes!!

  2. The look of the Iron Man armor looking so much like the comic book version was meant as a special gift to fans. Other than the Black Widow solo movie and perhaps a few special appearances, this is supposed to be the final appearance of the six original Avengers.

  4. If they do a Secret Wars movie based on the first limited series I don't see why The Beyonder couldn't gather characters from space and time. That would allow them to include any characters who may have died.

I also think Endgame sets up Kang since the time travel clearly would have created divergent timelines.

  5. Yep. That's definitely the suit of armor he wore when he (Tony Stark, that is) was briefly kidnapped by Princess Python. A far better look than the one with the built-on nose!*

*That one made him look like a Tin Man of Oz impersonator spray-painted red-and-gold!

  6. P.S.---the Sarge is right. That one-in-14-million divergence _must_ have caused chronospatial ripples easily detectable by Kang the Conqueror.

  7. Was that a George Tuska Iron Man? This Dr Fate looked like he could have made the transition into the silver age with ease.

Ross, could you do a 1939 Batman, early Cap America, very early Superman vs The Enchantress, Poison Ivy & Circe? Something a little different. thanks.

  8. @Daviticus: maybe he was too busy celebrating May the 4th with a fifth.

    Just kidding! :-)
