It looks like we won't be seeing Deathstroke on the big screen again any time soon, despite the post credits sequence on Justice League. I wasn't really interested in seeing him as the main guiy in a Batman movie anyway. Maybe now the character will be freed up for use on Titans for the DC streaming service, where he belongs.
This is the second time these two have faced off on the blog. They first battled in STF #1536...
Sorry, TM. But, I think you're gonna be 0-for-2.
ReplyDeleteThen again, Deathstroke is probably good enough and interesting enough to stay on the edges in the DCTV universe. Maybe as a recurring foe for Batwoman... that'd be a good reason to get to see Robin once in a while, no?
ReplyDeleteNo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGiven that the final frames of this past weekend's Crossover Event announced that next fall would see the Crisis on Infinite Earths, you can bet that Deathstroke will be involved there, probably pitching in wherever he can (remember, he's a good guy in the Arrowverse). It'd be fun to see the big-screen version pop up somewhere around the same time, but you're right on that one; there really isn't any movie currently in the works where he'd be appropriate.
ReplyDelete@Bob Greenwade: Not unless they did a feature-length version of "Batman vs. Predator." Where Deathstroke was revealed to be working for the DARPA clique trying to capture one of those headhunting aliens alive. Come to think of it? That would've been better than the last Predator sequel (which was more like "A-Team" meets "Dream Team")!
ReplyDelete@Anon: I think maybe I'd rather see The Inferior Five vs. Predator -- either here, or on video.

Did you know that there's been an 'Archie meets Predator' story published?
@Bob & Simreeve: Even INFERIOR 5 v. PREDATOR would still have been preferable to the last sequel. I'm dead serious!
ReplyDeleteColour compatible.
ReplyDeleteHey! Those would make great names for a pair of clone troopers in the revised STAR WARS universe: Labo Ur and Colo Ur. One is an AT-AT engine mechanic. The other is a holovid communications specialist.

That reminds me of the jokes that some people used to make about additions to Superman's extended family, at least pre-Crisis: Barr-el (the fat one), Chuck-el (the joking/laughing one), and so on...
^_^
Would that make Jack-El the son of Chuck?

Hey, Cary...
Deletei just read this one...
thanks for thinking of me and mine family members...
Anytime. Have a Happy New Year, too! :-)
