Adam Strange and The Fantastic Four

I was glad to learn that Adam Strange would be part of the Krypton show, but a little disappointed that he has not resembled his comic book counterpart very much thus far.  Hopefully in the second season he will grow closer to the Adam we know from the comics.  Even if they don't put him in a costume, he's got to at least get a jetpack, right?

  1. Ira's right. Syfy Channel won't put him in a jet pack anymore than Netflix gave Iron Fist a green unitard with yellow sash and matching mask!

  2. Back in the Golden and Silver ages, Superman got some of his powers from the fact that Krypton was a high-gravity planet, although I guess these days it's entirely from the yellow sun. Still, its kinda weird to see Strange not to have any problems with Krypton's gravity. I guess I've been spoiled by "The Expanse" and "Mars" and stuff that at least tries to get the gravity-effects right.

  3. on an unrelated note, inspired by a comment for yesterday's cover, maybe also Beast Boy (Teen Titans) and Beastman (He-Man ...); also Dean Martin (who is nicknamed Dino; and was in comic books) and Dino, the Flintstones' pet as people who heard of Dino the dinosaur before Dino the Italian name (and nickname, in Dean Martin's case) likely joked about Italian restaurants (and pizza places) named (in the place name) after owners named Dino; a similar humor likely was made more recently of Mrs. T's pierogies.

  4. Maybe also Doctor Strange and Extran(tilde)o (they both look and are pretty similar!).

  5. Whose daughter is Emily, Adam's Stephen's or Hugo's?

Doctor Strange has had fairly frequent fights with Baron Mordo: It might be interesting to see him go up against Mordru, instead.

  8. Nope! Grand Dad was a brand of whiskey he served at the Long Branch Saloon in 19th-century Dodge City. ;-)
