Picking up from the story just a few days ago in STF #2337, we see that the Devourer of Worlds is not too pleased with the fact that his herald has been poached. Hmmm, I don't think that any of his drones would have much effect on Galactus, but maybe Starro could affix himself to the big guy and make a slave of him? Not without a fight of course, and it would be a corker to see, just as Cavilier1970 and Bob Greenwade suggested in the comments for the earlier cover.
Starro will win because he has Captain America's shield as an eye.
ReplyDeleteRoss? My thanks to you, Bob, and Cavilier1970 for this latest sequel piece of artwork. :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S.---I can't wait to see what you have in store for STF #2350.
ReplyDeleteThis would be even more epic than the Galactus / Darkseid crossover, though once Starro DOES possess Galactus, I cannot image a force in the Multiverse that could separate them!
ReplyDeletescarab, two words: Squirrel Girl.
ReplyDeleteRoss, if you can make scarab's and TJW's combined suggestion happen, I think the response would be wild (and positive)!
ReplyDelete(Alternatively, pit the Starro-ized Galactus against the Tick!)
Would Galactus' pre-cosmic (before the Big Bang) origin indirectly (at least) make Galactus immune to Starro's powers? The same thing might be responsible for Galactus somehow being viewed by a given alien race as looking like that alien race!
ReplyDeleteTJW, against a threat like that I would also suggest the ingenuity of Huey, Dewey and Louie. Or perhaps Calvin.
ReplyDeleteGalactus would eat Starro, but then develop a seafood allergy and be too sick to eat the Earth.
ReplyDeleteOrdinaryguy2
Neil Gaiman's Death finally gets fed up with processing all their victims and kills them both. (I figure Death can kill anyone other than God.)
ReplyDeleteAnother great inspiration by the Kid!
ReplyDeleteGaiman's Death vs. Chaos/Dynamite's Lady Death. The ultimate catfight!!
Galactapuss (MARVEL What The? series.) VS Mister Nebula (DC Comics JLI (Bwa-Ha-Ha-HA!)) fighting over Bizarro World (DC).
ReplyDeleteThe Cat (DC JLE(It was a mean cat)) VS Garfield.

How about a cover with Squirrel Girl as Calvin's new babysitter?
Yes, that sounds good.
ReplyDeleteHas Galactus ever tried to eat Bizarro World or even the Earth of Captain Carrot or Uncle Scrooge? Oh, Darkwing Duck and his team of super friends (including Super Goof) against Galactus? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Squirrel Girl meeting Giganta (the evolved gorilla version) or the main species of Splatoon; the premise being that Squirrel Girl somehow evolved from squirrels (speculative evolution).
ReplyDeleteGalactipuss is Marvel goofing on their own Galactus and Mister Nebula is a DC parody of Galactus.
ReplyDeleteWow didn't think I'd get any credit- I mean Ross did the work. I'm an idea guy, I mean I write, and I've got to admit there's a large number of these I'd love to write like # 414 the LSH & Galaxy Trio, #402 BATO Join the Secret Wars, #381 Captain America vs Deatstroke , #318 Batman & Moon Knight Believe me I can go on. Some are natural merges and I can 'see' the stories fleshed out already- others need a bit of thinking. if I had the time I'd love to work on them all.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of battle we need to see more of!
ReplyDeleteLike Galactus v Antimonitor and Galactus v Trigon, it's long past due to see these cosmic level characters start paying attention to each other.
