I am very intrigued about the new Terrifics series from DC. I'm a big fan of Mr. Terrific and Plastic Man, and Metamorpho is one of my all-time favorite heroes, so it will be great to see them in a regular series again. The addition of Phantom Girl is welcome as well - I thought that she was one of the cooler members of the Legion of Super-Heroes and I am curious as to why she is out of her time. Jeff Lemire is a talented writer and the artwork by Ivan Reis and Evan Shaner that I have seen so far looks great to me. I definitely plan to check the book out once the trades come to Comixology.
There's a lot of advance buzz about the book. Comparing it to Fantastic Four in a very good way. I thought I saw something that Phantom Girl is not the Phantom Girl we think she is...
ReplyDeletemr t and mr terrific?
ReplyDelete...or Tom Terrific?
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading TERRIFICS #1. No sign of Phantom Girl at the cliff-hanger. Naughty-naughty mit der schpoilers! ;-D
ReplyDeleteSince when does Moses Magnum wear purple like Luthor and talk like Wildcat?
ReplyDeleteI think that the Phantom Girl in The Terrifics is and ancestor to the Phantom Girl in the Legion.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a group made up of Reed Richards, Brainiac 5, Dexter (from Dexter's Lab), Benton Quest and whoever else you can think of whose real superpower is being real smart....

ReplyDeleteEvery inhabitant of Bgztl can phase.
Maybe this Phantom Girl is a different woman from Bgztl?
Hmmm... X-Men and Legion of Super-Heroes cross-over:
ReplyDeletePhantom Girl: "You're no mutant, Kitty...You're my LOST SISTER!"
(I checked the Kitty Pryde list to make sure Ross hadn't done this already.)
The last two comments are from Kid Charlemagne. I forgot to change identities. *rolls eyes*
ReplyDeleteCary Comic:Since when does Moses Magnum wear purple like Luthor and talk like Wildcat?
ReplyDeleteThat's not Moses Magnum, it's Magma, a minor foe of Iron Man (at least the Jim Rhodes version) and Spider-Man.
@Kevin Leighton: Hmmm! I can't say as I remember him. Which obviously makes him--quite literally--forgettable in comparison to the better known X-girl from Nova Roma.
ReplyDeleteP.S.---on the plus side, I did finally notice that great pun.
ReplyDelete"40 Hot Pages" LOL!
I think a better team up of Iron Man and Mister Terrific would be in the lab.
ReplyDeleteFrom the previous Anonymous: crap! I just re-read TERRIFICS #1...and the pages where LW makes her debut got stuck together.
