Dazzler meets Josie and the Pussycats

I still haven't watched Riverdale, but it seems to be a big enough hit that more series set in the Archie Comics universe are popping up.  I've read of a new Sabrina series starring Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka, based on the more recent comics, which could be cool.  If that is a success as well, will it be much longer before Josie and The Pussycats get their own show again?

  1. Dave sez,
    Whoa! Cool cover.
I've watched a few episodes of Riverdale. It's okay. I'm old school. I would prefer an Archie sitcom to the characters portrayed like every other CW teen angst show. I need to track down the Archie cartoon box set... Bucket List.

I picked up and really enjoyed the five-issue "Your Pal, Archie"; and, I see that the Super Teens are making a come back this summer against The Crusaders.

  4. The H-B cartoon series from the early Seventies was my first intro these iconic characters. And, to be honest? The faux-leopard leotards were the things that made them most memorable to me (rowr-rowr)!

  5. I could only get a few episodes into Riverdale before giving up. I like Mark Waid's current Archie comic series but this show was just too dark.

How about Patsy 'Hellcat' Walker and Josie? :D

  6. I cannot see Josie and the Pussycats making in to TV anything like the comics so why bother? I am tired of shows nothing like the comics. Too bad their series was cancelled with no wrap up in comic.

  7. Dazzler vs Silver Banshee? Hmmm ...

One would think it would be an obvious "SB's sonic power boosting D's light power", but Silver Banshee's sonics are magically based. So maybe Dazzler's mutant sound-to-light (ain't that stoopid?) couldn't process it. So yeah, having an ally to boost her powers with sound would be a logical strategy.

But that Dazzler doesn't seem to fit into the picture too well.

  8. I've always considered Dazzler a super, SUPER, SUU-PER lame character. And yet if this was a real comic, I would pick it up, leaf through it and at least consider buying it....

  9. How about Captain America and Batman vs Deathstroke and Taskmaster. You've paired them off separate before. Maybe the similar Mercs would team up to help each other finish the job.

  10. I hate it when people don’t give things a chance... I hate seeing them give up on stuff.

I think Riverdale is okay, you should give it a watch. Also, nice cover.

  13. @Dash: I don't have to try skydiving-without-a-parachute to give up on that without trying it first! And watching RIVERDALE: The Needless Soap Opera undeniably falls in the same category.*

*At least as far as I'm permanently concerned.

  14. A better question, Ross, would be...why haven't you used the Silver Banshee for a second time in over four years?
