I love that Michelle Pfeiffer has been cast in the upcoming
Ant-Man and the Wasp as Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp. After this, Nicole Kidman in the now shooting
Aquaman, Tommy Lee Jones in
Captain America: The First Avenger and Michael Keaton's excellent turn as The Vulture, I am wondering what other Batman alumnus we can see re-cast in new comic roles. My vote is for Danny DeVito as M.O.D.O.K. (you know you want it).
Am I the only one to be sad it's not Kathleen Turner as Janet Van Dyne? Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner have made at least 3 movies together and had, IMHO, excellent screen chemistry.
ReplyDeleteI like Danny as M.O.D.O.K.
ReplyDeleteNah! I can't honestly say I do, Ross. I'm dead certain he'd be much better cast as Caesar "Big C" Cicero (opposite whoever was cast as a Caucasian Kingpin in the next Spidey sequel).
ReplyDeleteYeah, we're not going to be getting Michael Clarke Duncan back as Wilson Fisk. As Tom Bergeron once put it, he's a little hard to book these days.
ReplyDeleteBut hey, how about Alicia Silverstone as Black Canary?
As to this cover, I really enjoy it. Two heroes with animal themes teaming up in a situation that has absolutely nothing to do with that fact. Plus, I think that Hank would be all over helping Carter with this situation.
In New Amalgam Comics, these two were mixed to make Wingspan, real name Carter Pym, partner of Wasp Girl (Janet Van Dyne/Kendra Saunders), and co-creator of Metoltron (Metallo/Ultron).
ReplyDeleteI think Danny DeVito as M.O.D.O.K (or M.O.D.O.C) would be cool and he would really enjoy it especially if they motion captured him.
ReplyDeleteThis was originally a Hawkman and the Atom correct?
it's from Atom #7, Hawkman was a guest star - they eventually shared the title though.
ReplyDeleteid rather see dannys face on arim zolas chest screen and get peter dinklage as modok
ReplyDeleteDanny would be great as a scenery chewing MODOK.
ReplyDeleteI think Matt "Nardole" Lucas would be more ideal as MODOK.
ReplyDeleteNardole??? Who the frig is Nardole?
ReplyDeleteThe Dr. Who equivalent of Robin and/or Jimmy Olsen.
ReplyDeleteTo clarify Cary C.'s response: Nardole was one of the Doctor's companions on "Doctor Who" during this past season, after being first seen in the 2015 Christmas special.
ReplyDeleteHow about Amazo and the Taskmaster vs. Magnus the Robot Fighter?
ReplyDeleteI read the original title as a kid but did not remember whose title it was since at time I was lucky to find any two books in order from discount place for the money I collected returning bottles.
