Spider-Man: Homecoming is almost upon us, and I am very encouraged by the reviews I have seen thus far. Many ar calling it the best Spidey flick yet, at least on par with Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2, which is high praise. Tom Holland is being singled out as a highlight and I am looking forward to seeing him flesh out his take on Peter Parker.

I know you have used a lot of Jack Kirby artwork, but have you featured Kirby himself on a cover? I see you have featured Stan Lee a couple of times. It would be great to see Jack Kirby alongside some of his greatest creations on his 100th birthday.
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to do some Jack Kirby tribute covers I would love to see: The Hulk and The Demon, Captain America and Mister Miracle, Thor and Kamandi, Silver Surfer and Orion, and The Fantastic Four and The Challengers of the Unknown.
ReplyDeleteI think Fantastic Four vs The New Gods would be cool. You can have Mr Fantastic vs Mister Miracle, Invisible Woman vs Big Barda, The Thing vs Orion, and Human Torch vs Lightray. Plus you can throw in Dr Doom and Darkseid.

ReplyDeletePS: Here's hoping that the next time Man-Bat and Spider-Man meet, it's during the latter's "six-armed" period. I'd love to see that. (I almost said that I'd pay to see it, but if I had money I already would be.)

ReplyDeleteThe issue that falls on Jack Kirby's birthday would be issue number 1962. That was the same year that some famous Jack Kirby creations debuted: The Hulk, Dr Doom, Ant Man, and Thor.
