For a character that is so popular to cosplay as she is, I am surprised that we have not gotten an official live action version of Power Girl yet. Between Supergirl and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, there seems to be plenty of opportunity to bring her to the small screen.
This is the third appearance of The Power Couple - They faced the mob together in STF #773 and first met in STF #71...

ReplyDeleteI'd be more partial to an animated series based on the Palmiotti/Gray/Conner run on Power Girl, with Scrubs alum Sarah Chalke voicing the lead.
ReplyDeleteIf they do bring her to the small screen, I hope they either make her Kara's cousin by her Uncle Nim-El. Or, failing that, the Kara Zor-El from the Krypton of the Flash's universe.

ReplyDeleteAnon - Power Girl is an alternate-Earth Supergirl, so it would be more true (at least in the Arrowverse) to send her in as Supergirl's counterpart from Earth-1 (or possibly Earth-3, the home of the real Jay Garrick).
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'm pretty sure that's a false rumor; Dwayne is scheduled to play Black Adam in both the Shazam! movie and a self-titled film. Luke Cage in the MCU is played by Mike Colter.
