Elasti-Girl and Ant-Man

I am curious as to who the antagonist will be in the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp.  Ant-Man's rogues gallery includes villains like Egghead, Whirlwind and The Porcupine - but are any of these guys movie-ready?  It's too bad his greatest nemesis, Ultron, was stolen for the movies by Tony Stark.

  1. They're probably gonna go for the typical go-to villains these days- hi-tech terrorists! sigh.

  3. For some reason I don't think I've ever seen this Brian Bolland Elasti-Girl art. Now I have to find his renditions of the rest of the Doom Patrol. TO THE GOOGLE MACHINE SHERMAN!!!!

  4. Seeing Stimpy Byrne's name reminds me:

Q: What's the difference between Heaven and Hell?

A: In Heaven, Keith Giffen writes comics and John Byrne draws them.

In Hell, Keith Giffen draws comics and John Byrne writes them.

(In Giffen's defense, give him a decent inker, and his drawings are pleasant enough.)

    Oh, why is Byrne "Stimpy"?

"DON'T TOUCH IT! IT'S THE HISTORY ERASER BUTTON, YOU FOOL!"

Though actually, from what I've heard, it's no longer just Byrne. Both major comic companies are All Stimpy, All The Time these days. This is one of the reasons I quit them back in 2007, although the biggest reason was the expense. Unless someone invents a cheap way to make high-quality paper, comic books will never get cheaper. :(

  5. So, the Doom Patrol's Elasti-Girl winds up like Disney's Elastigirl? Priceless!

As to who should be the Pym's antagonist in the sequel? I vote for...The Magician! Picture, if you will, Jan being hypnotized into wearing a skin-tight sequined leotard as his on-stage assistant. While, off-stage, she shrinks down and thereby helps him break into all these swanky Park Avenue apartments and town houses.

  6. I've never cared for Giffen's art either. You can't tell one character from another and that thing he does with shadows on faces is just weird.

  7. Wait... Ant-Man has a nemesis named Egghead? Say, how about teaming him up with Batman '66, who also had a villain by that name? (It could also be a fitting tribute to the late Adam West.)

  8. I like Bob Greenwade's idea. The Mole Man would be a natural for for Ant Man but it probably has been reserved by the awful FF movie series.

  9. I'd like to second Bob Greenwade's suggestion. But, if that proves impossible to implement, is there any chance of Batman '66 vs. Princess Python and the Circus of Crime? Perhaps utilizing either the cover of TEEN TITANS (v.1) #6; or DAREDEVIL (v.2) #118; or maybe even IRON MAN (v.1) #50!

I'll second that suggestion, and third Bob Greenwade's...
