Afro Samurai and Black Dynamite

A friend of mine loaned me the complete collection of Afro Samurai cartoons a few year back, and I wound up watching the entire run over the course of a weekend.  I loved the character design, over-the-top action sequences and the voice work by Samuel L. Jackson (in both of the lead roles, no less).  I definitely recommend it, especially to Manga fans.

  1. If you ever see a DVD of THREE THE HARD WAY for sale, snatch it up. It is The Best of the original blaxploitation flicks from the mid-1970's. Hands down/bar none/case permanently closed!

  2. Not characters with whom I'm familiar, but it does look like a good combination.
For extra oomph, how about expanding the team to include Luke Cage, Buck Wild ("Mercenary Man"; Milestone's parody of early Cage), and the Bronze Tiger?

Humble suggestion....Afro Samurai meets Samurai Jack?

  5. And Black Dynamite is EXACTLY what Luke Cage should be acting like.
