There have been rumors of an Avengers member or two being killed off in the upcoming
Avengers: Infinity War, and with so many characters involved, there are plenty to choose from. Most of the main players are coming to the ends of their contracts, so this might be a way for someone like Chris Evans or Robert Downey Jr. to bow out of the franchise. Then again, The Vision is powered by one of the Infinity Gems, so he well may be in for a rough time when Thanos comes looking for it. Or maybe Hawkeye, who we all though was going to get it in
Age of Ultron, will finally meet his maker.
Happy New Year, Ross!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to all of my brothers and sisters who love comics, science fiction and fantasy! May this new year be prosperous and pleasurable for you all, and may you receive the very richest of God's blessings in 2017!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd may the Black Racer never chase you down!
ReplyDeleteHaven't all those Avengers characters already died and been resurrected at some point? I don't think they fear the reaper, he's just a nuisance to them.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they got right back on the ski-lift, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteZoinks, man what a way to start off 2017! With the Black Racer! (O_O)
Happy New Year, Ross and a big THANKS for yet another year's entertainment!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteDavid Welsh- At the time the Avengers had that line-up and those costumes, I don't think ANY of the characters pictured had died and been resurrected yet.
Which brings me to my question- where does that Avengers image come from? It's obviously Kirby. I can see that it likely takes place sometime between AVENGERS #36 and #47, placing it in 1967, probably. However, it doesn't come from any of the AVENGERS covers during that time. Was it a guest appearance? A poster? Something else?
Marvel Triple Action #29 new kirby cover for a marvel reprint
ReplyDeleteYou know who I'd like to see involved in a three-for-all? The Silver Surfer and the Scarlet Skier vs. the Black Racer!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Ross. :-)
Ah- I should have thought of Marvel Triple Action. Kirby drew a great Hawkeye- I wish he could have drawn him more.
ReplyDeleteJust to add- I'm guessing it was a reprint of AVENGERS #45- I can almost see the Super Adaptoid there...
