One of my favorite moments in the 4-night CW Invasion crossover was when Cisco mentioned to Ray Palmer that he would finally have to get around to upgrading his power suit. I have felt that it was too clunky all along and it looks like we may finally be getting a more streamlined version at some point this season on
DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Let's hope they tweak the helmet as well.
Ross, nice play on the Hawkeye-AntMan / GA-Atom trope. But why has Ray already jumped off the arrow ?
ReplyDeleteLooks like even in Rebirth DC is sticking with Ray as only a scientist and giving the new Atom the LoT-style helmet and suit, which will actually help my wallet, since I won't be buying his book.
Looks to me like Ray IS the arrow.
ReplyDeleteThe two characters that weren't quite translated to live action properly. The CW ATOM is like a 2nd rate IRON MAN, while The AVENGER'S HAWKEYE looks like a guy about to go deer hunting with Ted Nugent.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you about the Atom suit, but we can all be grateful that it's nowhere near as clunky as the one from the unaired CBS JLA pilot.
ReplyDeleteGreat artwork! It looks like Hawkeye already fired the arrow, and Atom is flying in for backup. Not quite as exciting without jumping off Green Arrow's arrow, but still a cool cover!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for that upgrade myself as long as we don't have to see Iron man Lite anymore.
ReplyDeleteBob's got it right - Hawkeye is using The Atom as an arrow, or at least that's what I was going for.
ReplyDeleteSuperman was once nearly driven crazy when some of Silver Age Zazzala's bees flew into his ears. Thereby using his super-hearing against him! The Atom might be able to shrink small enough to use the same trick against Amazo.
ReplyDeleteAssuming, of course, Amazo doesn't use heat vision to fry the Atom en route!
