Patrick Wilson has been added to the cast of Aquaman as Orm - Aquaman's half brother, also known as The Ocean Master . He doesn't really resemble Jason Mamoa, so I guess they got their looks from their mothers! I was hoping that Black Manta would be the primary antagonist, but screenwriters just can't resist the evil brother angle. I'm also curious as to how they'll design the Ocean Master costume and helmet.
From what I've read, Black Manta is in the film and could be the primary bad guy. I'd wouldn't be surprised if Orm has more of the Sinestro role from the Green Lantern film -- the 'mirror' to compare & contrast the callow hero with, with setup to become the main bad guy in the second film.

Daredevil(Lev Gleason Pub) and Daredevil(Matt Murdock)
Ghost Riders (Rex Fury, Carter Slade, Johnny Blaze, etc)
The early Quality comics had an IRON MAN robot in one of it's early chronologies. And just look what you could do with Westerns.

Gee, if I could only get the old JASC Paint Shop Pro 7, I could even do some of these. I can't even figure out the new types you are using- Photoshop or Corel's Paint Shop Pro (any variety. Besides, they are all too expensive for my Social Security.
Re: the titular question? I'll bet it has something to do with the Inhuman Triton.

ReplyDeletePretty cool match up Ross. I see this version of Captain marvel putting up a hell of a fight, but ultimately Aquaman's just more powerful. Now if this were the Starlin version with the nega bands, then Arthur's screwed.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like seeing Momoa cast as Aquaman, "realsitic" or not, otherwise Patrick Wilson would fit as Orm better.

ReplyDeleteI get backgrounds from all over - I often like to use animation cel backgrounds because there aren't a lot of figures that I need to "erase" first.
