Judge Dredd and Spider-Man in: "Hanging Offense!"

I am hoping for cinematic another outing for Karl Urban as Judge Dredd.  Despite the first film not being a huge commercial success, it was relatively well regarded and has gained a following on home video.  There have been rumblings about another film, probably on an even more modest budget to minimize financial risk. Urban seems to have a pretty busy schedule but I hope he's willing to wear the helmet once again.

Spidey and Dredd first crossed paths in STF #507...

  1. I preferred the Stallone version, myself.

  2. I enjoyed the real-life team-ups between Judge Dredd and Batman, but I think I would enjoy this team-up even more! The clash in personalities between Dredd and Spidey would be epic and a lot of fun to watch. You've given us a very good taste of how humorous a story like that could be. Bravo!

  3. A humorous Spider-Man cartoon did appear only a few days ago which readers of this blog might appreciate....http://comicskingdom.com/bizarro/2016-08-13

Not to take anything away from Ross's cover, which is great as usual.

  4. Sonofjack's remark about the personality clashes between Dredd and Spidey make me think: even more so would be the clash between Dredd and Ambush Bug, or even Dredd and Deadpool. Better still, Access comes along to merge the latter pair into Dreadpool!

  5. @BG: didn't DC already do that in a recent issue of their Harley Quinn mag? It showed her being handed flowers by someone I initially took to be a self-parody. I mean, come on; isn't Deadpool already clearly established as a Marvel spoof of Deathstroke? Why add self-injury to insult?

  6. @Carycomic: you're thinking of "Red Tool." But, yes, he is an example of going to the spoof well once too often.

@Bob Greenwade: Marvel already did a character called "Dredpool." As a parallel-Earth counterpart of the mainstream Deadpool...who killed him and dozens of other such counterparts in one of his over-abundant mini-series from the last decade or two.

  7. And DC did a parallel-Earth version of Deathstroke who was a lot like Deadpool (in 'Superman/Batman',Annual #1), too...

  8. Argh! That's what comes of not following comics that closely. Grrrr.

    Well, there's still JD/AB.

  9. @Bob Greenwade: Ross could even bring the three of them together. JD hunting Deadpool for "murdering" Ambush Bug (in STF # 285). And, AB gloating, from some inset circle:

"I'm gonna let Hizzoner chase him around a little while. Just to teach him a lesson!"

  10. Newflash! Just finished reading the first issue of a Dark Horse/IDW crossover mini-series: PREDATOR VS. JUDGE DREDD VS. ALIENS.

    "Nuff said." :-)
