With Moon Knight listed among the potential characters that could be featured on Netflix, I wonder how his signature look will be realized in live action. It's a tough costume to translate, and probably would work much better in animation. I can't remember if Moon Knight has ever appeared in Marvels animated offerings... I don't think he has, other than maybe a cameo on the 90's
Spider-Man cartoon.
This is only the beginning of this adventure - stay tuned to see the repercussions in Part Two tomorrow!
Cool cover!
ReplyDeleteThere are some things - like Moon Knight's costume - that would seem to work only in the comics. But then, Smallville adapted the JSA pretty well. Moon Knight could very easily just go with the white costume - just go with it. Unless somebody looks at the costume and tries to think about it.
I just hope Marvel Films takes inspiration from the Rex Smith Daredevil costume (from the 1980's TV-movie "Trial of the Incredible Hulk") about what NOT to alter! Rex did a great job playing Matt Murdock. But, the costume? Looked more like that of Marvel's then-neophyte vigilante, the Shroud. Sans cape!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I hope they go wth MK's original costume, which I think is still his best look. Another great cover, Ross!-- Gregg
ReplyDeleteI did a Bing Images search on Moon Night Cosplay and found several possibilities that the producers of a MN TV series could go with (and, of course, a few to avoid). That's one really handy thing about cosplayers off comic books and animation: when it comes time to move a character to live-action, producers can see what looks good and what doesn't, and how the former has already been achieved.
ReplyDeleteI followed Moon Knight's comic about 10 issues, thought he was a great character with a great look. I only knew Fate in the JLA/JSA cross overs, so I never got interested in him. This is a great cover, good images put together well. I will be interested in the next issue, glad we don't have to wait a whole month between!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if both of them listen to the heavy metal band NILE?
ReplyDeleteYou brought back Moon Knight and you used the Vigilante a few days ago when are the 2 going to meet?
ReplyDelete@Scott Cummins: probably not until pigs sling webs and crawl on walls.
