Concrete and Aquaman

I still hope that one day we will see Paul Chadwick's Concrete on the big screen.  There is so much potential there, through the unique visuals offered by Concrete's perspective on the world and the story lines that follow a decidedly different path than the usual super powered comic book character.  Get a great voice to go with a CGI Concrete and it could be very cool - heck, I'd even like an all animated version if Pixar took the property on.

  1. Ron Perlman or Clancy Brown would be my first two candidates for a Concrete voice-over. My next two choices? Whoever voiced Logan on the Marvel cartoon X-MEN: EVOLUTION, followed by whoever voiced Lobo of Czarnia on WB's SUPERMAN.

  2. Nice - another in that team up trend of "Opposites attract." Rather like J'onn J'onzz and the Human Torch, or Shadow Lass and Dagger, or the Atom and Goliath. Or - in the same vein as both opposites attract and similar similarities - Husk and Robby Reed. Wheee! Hope to catch that last, sometime!

  3. Not bad! How about Spidey meets Femforce, next?

  4. ^Ha! And with the ol' parker luck being what it is, he'll still probably strike out with every single of them;)

Love the cover though. Makes we want to see a Chris Samnee-drawn Aquaman series real bad now, with Jeff Parker or Mark waid writing.

  5. @ Dale Bagwell:

Oh, I don't know. He could just as easily have the whole FF standing in front of him, with She-Cat declaring: "Face it, tiger. You just hit the jackpot!

  6. IMHO, Concrete would have to be done independently if it was filmed, with Dark Horse making the movie and then seeking out an independent distributor like IFC Films or Illumination Pictures. Great artwork once again.
