Oh, for this to have been a TV special back in the day starring Lynda Carter and William Shatner. I would have loved to seen Debra Winger's Drusilla swooning over the Captain, or Kirk taking Steve Trevor down a notch or two. Of course, Wonder Woman would be sure to keep him in check. I wonder what she would ask him with the aid of her magic lasso?
Do you have an std?
ReplyDeleteCool cover! Another trip around the sun maybe? or a walk through the Guardian of Forever? Today is Joan (Edith Keeler) Collins' birthday!
ReplyDeleteThere are a number of shows that could have worked in a shared universe. The Star Trek animated series was produced by the same company that did The Archies and The Brady Kids and Gilligan's Island I think...Can you imagine Spock matching wits with Gilligan? Or how about a mystery with Scooby Doo!
Hopefully Lynda Carter will get a cameo on The Flash or Supergirl next fall...
This made me laugh so hard! I'm going to be cracking up on this for the next week! Just imagine the damage Kirk could cause on Paradise Island. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteWonder Woman would probably use her lasso to order Kirk to do it "kanga-style."
ReplyDelete;-D
Reminds me of a joke campaign someone suggested once. A starship called the "U.S.S. James T. Kirk," which is crewed entirely by his children. :)
ReplyDeleteYears ago when Marvel did the Star Trek/X-Men crossover I found it enjoyable but it pushed the laws of believability. It was also a snub at DC because when they had the license they wanted to cross it over with Superman. I would have thought a crossover like Wonder Woman/Star Trek. Now years later after Marvels first Star Trek crossover IDW crossed it over with Legion of Super-Heroes and soon with Green Lantern. Now the Wonder Woman/Star Trek crossover is more believable. How about a Star Trek/X-Men/Legion of Super-Heroes cover?
ReplyDelete@ Scott Cummins:
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I can just see the LSH encountering the Shiar Imperial Guard and Wildfire quipping:
"What a bunch of posers!"
Shore leave on Themyscira? Jim, does "Death by Snu-snu" mean anything to you?
ReplyDeleteThe bizarre coincidence of this cover, two years, later is bringing a big smile to my face!
